    Role Description

    Cable Jointers / Electrical Fitters

    Role Overview

    • Ikeja Electric is seeking experienced and safety-driven Cable Jointers/Electrical Fitters to support our operations and maintenance team.
    • This role is critical to ensuring the integrity and reliability of our power distribution network through expert cable jointing, fault resolution, and equipment servicing across 33kV and 11kV systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform jointing and termination of 33kV and 11kV power cables
    • Diagnose and repair faults in switchgear incomers and outgoing cables
    • Work on underground cable joints including straight-through, transition, trifurcating, and tee joints
    • Lay power cables in trenches within substations and feeder routes
    • Conduct breakdown maintenance on indoor/outdoor terminations and interconnector cables
    • Re-terminate cables and perform electro-cleaning and preheating of VT’s, CT’s, and cables
    • Install and erect gantries and switchgear panels in injection substations
    • Maintain and service 33kV/11kV breakers and power transformers
    • Replace faulty breakers, bushings, and lightning arrestors
    • Install and upgrade earthing systems in substations
    • Carry out filtration of power transformers and general equipment maintenance

    • Support preventive and planned maintenance scheduling
