Can I use it for jobs I found on other sites?
Yes. Paste the job description into the box and it works for any job anywhere. You can also give a link instead: links work for MyJobMag jobs, and for jobs on other sites that publish a standard job listing.
What kind of CV file can I give it?
A PDF or a Word .docx file. You can also choose a CV you have already uploaded to MyJobMag, or a CV you made earlier with CV Pilot.
What happens if I am not really qualified for the job?
CV Pilot tells you. It scores the match first, and if it is 35 percent or less it stops, explains what the job is asking for that your CV does not show, and suggests the kinds of roles to look at instead. That check is free and does not use one of your CVs.
Can I edit what the AI wrote?
Yes, and you should. The result opens in an editor where every section can be typed over by hand, as often as you like. You can also tell the AI what to change, for one role or for the whole CV, and 10 of those adjustments are included with every CV.
Does it change my MyJobMag profile?
No. CV Pilot only makes new CVs. Your MyJobMag profile and the CV you have uploaded there stay exactly as they are.
Do I need an account?
Yes, a MyJobMag jobseeker account. It is free to open and you will need it to apply for jobs here anyway.
Which countries is it available in?
MyJobMag runs in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and the United Kingdom. The price shown on this page is the price for the MyJobMag site you are on, and you pay in its currency.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The editor was built for a phone first, so you can tailor a CV, adjust it and download the PDF without opening a laptop.
How long does my credit last?
The Starter pack is valid for 30 days and the Professional pack for 90 days. Renew before it ends, or within 24 hours after, and any unused CVs carry over into the new pack. Otherwise they are removed.
