    Manager, Resource Systems

     

    Job Description

    • Responsible for defining Application specification in response to evolving business needs.
    • Responsible for enhancing the procedures and processes associated with the operations and maintenance of business rules for all downstream BSS systems in MTNN.
    • Support the Shareholder return strategy by developing and implementing Information Systems Processes that are aligned to achieving all elements on the business score card. (I.e. Grow Market Share, Grow ICT & Data Revenue, Increase EBITDA margins, Assure Revenue, CAPEX Returns Management and Net Subscriber Additions).
    • Participate in the review of Business Processes (headcount, process optimisation, etc.), to drive efficiency gains to ensure at least 5% reduction in Divisional budget year-on-year.
    • Participate in annual budgeting process for both capital and recurring expenditure.
    • Serve the Division’s internal customers and provide solutions to improve the customer experience.
    • Strategic Partnerships with MTNN leadership team to drive awareness on expected behaviours and impact on non-compliance on bottom line results and company image/reputation.
    • Drive planned strategy for the successful delivery of MTN Group and MTNN transformation initiatives focusing on Customer centricity.
    • Drive an increase in MTNN’s Net Promoter Score.
    • Engage in cross-functional work with the Network Group planning and operations, value streams for revenue, finance, revenue assurance, marketing, sales and distribution, enterprise solutions and MTNN as a whole
    • Network and build solid relationships with internal units and relevant third parties (e.g. strategic investors, technical and finance partners, business consultants etc.) and develop a close working relationship with relevant information sources to provide an integrated service.
    • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers.
    • Coordinate, coach and influence external partners and essential support departments across MTNN’s business units to deliver a seamless pre-sales and post-sales service experience.
    • Liaise with vendor/s to deliver support and solutions
    • Manage vendors and ensure SLAs are met through extensive review/negotiation of SLA agreements.
    • Contribute to the development of Systems Support Management methodology / framework to guide related activities within the IS Division, defining standards, processes, procedures, metrics and operations requirements.
    • Put in place mechanism and system to ensure prompt, frequent and appropriate update of Business systems and coordinate and lead team in delivering reliable support services.
    • Monitor and control all system installations and commissioning, provisioning, operation and administration.
    • Develop and maintain an efficient system logs and back up procedure and analyse trends of issues and problems, as well as identify root causes for the dysfunction
    • Monitor the performance and availability of the VAS & Prepaid systems and network elements and initiate corrective actions to failures in these systems.
    • Verify system problems and provide support to higher-level maintenance personnel.
    • Perform on site remedial support by investigating and identifying reasons for abnormal network conditions.
    • Prepare documentation and reports, collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
    • Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.
    • Coach and train the team to ensure understanding of the objectives and goals of the department, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their training needs.

    Experience & Training    
    Education:

    • First degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or related discipline

    • 6 - 13 years of experience which includes:  Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialisation; with experience in supervising/managing others

    • Experience in operational support Billing, Customer Care or other Resource Systems within an telecoms environment

    Coordinator Document Control (Supervisory)

     

    Job Description

    • Ensure value is created by optimising business projects/activities.
    • Liaise with all divisional points of contact on documentation to ensure that all required operational documents (policies, procedures, processes and Operational level agreements) are developed, dated and signed off
    • Communicate with all stakeholders when new documents have been placed on the portal.
    • Drive the standardization of all operational documents by ensuring that only the approved templates are used for developing documents
    • Track and ensure all MTN Nigeria policies, processes and procedures are in line with the ISO 9001:2015 standards.
    • Assist with the audits of processes in line with the ISO 9001:2015 Standard and follow-up to ensure all non-compliance issues are completely resolved.
    • Conduct a requirement analysis to identify required processes for smooth business operations.
    • Drive compliance to all operational processes within all divisions of MTN Nigeria and spontaneous compliance checks on critical processes
    • Quality assurance and control of the documents by coordinating and ensuring that all operational documents are appropriately saved on the share portal while obsolete documents are cleared from the portal as appropriate
    • Maintain an up to date record of all live documents and coordinate with the respective divisions to ensure documents are reviewed as at when due
    • Liaise with IS and or Consultants to maintain the applications that are in use for document management and develop new ones as the need arises
    • Proactive follow up for maintenance of document management systems and corrective actions when issues arise on the systems
    • Assist in coordinating day-to-day performance and quality monitoring exercises, implementing effective, proactive, quality processes at the operating level that will positively impact quality and enhance customer satisfactions
    • Obtain relevant and accurate information which will aid the line manager to take decisions in the course of interaction with key stakeholders

    Budget and Business Planning Analyst (Supervisory)

     

    Job Description

    • To coordinate the preparation of NWG detail business plan and provide support for the development of MTNN business plan
    • Develop a costing model for all Network and Facility major projects like average BTS and Transmission site project total cost, working with all functional heads to continuously benchmark cost against standard costing models and other best practice.
    • Business cases evaluation and investment appraisal of key projects
    • Provide support for the development of MTNN business plan/forecast, coordinating and preparing Network Group business plan/forecast details.
    • Ensure accurate provision of financial information to support Nominal Plan Design, providing input into the preparation of Network Group financial related Board Papers.
    • Implement a Network Budgetary Model to capture all network material and software requirements which include building different models for BTS and switches operational cost requirements in terms of fuel, maintenance, etc.
    • Track and report financial ratios against budgetary baselines, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial information and cost provided by all departments in Network Group.
    • Coordinate liaison between Finance and other departments within NWG to ensure all departmental budgets/forecasts are accurately and promptly prepared and uploaded
    • Prepare Monthly Integrated Reporting (Financial CAPEX & Network KPIs)
    • Ensure accuracy of budget input and its loading on Hyperion (Opex & Capex budget)
    • Coordinate the preparation of network rollout detailed Bill of Materials, ensuring periodic budget re-forecasting and communicating the findings to all stakeholders
    • Implement an effective and efficient process for collating and validating network operational and capital expenditure requirements from all stakeholders for monthly forecast and annual budget design.
