Senior Accountant at Commerce Alliance Holdings Limited

Salary: ₦800,000 Monthly

Commerce Alliance Holdings Limited is seeking to engage a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Accountant with a strong background in the capital market and financial services industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, treasury management, and strategic financial planning across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, SEC regulations, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Oversee tax planning, compliance, and statutory remittances.
• Liaise with auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor cash flow, treasury operations, and investment-related transactions.
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns within stipulated timelines.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls and risk management processes.
• Support executive management with financial analysis and decision-making.
• Supervise and mentor members of the finance team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years' relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role.
• Proven experience in the capital market, asset management, stockbroking, investment banking, or related financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience preparing SEC and other regulatory filings.
• Knowledge of investment and portfolio accounting.
• Master's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field will be an added advantage.
