    Quantity Surveyor

    Job Objective / Purpose of Job

    • We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our organisation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling costs for our construction projects, including estimation, budgeting, and cost management.
    • The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with the project team to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

    Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities

    • Preparing and submitting accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
    • Managing project budgets and cash flow projections, ensuring that costs are kept within budget.
    • Conducting risk assessments and providing advice on the commercial implications of decisions made during the construction process.
    • Preparing tender documents and contracts, negotiating with contractors, and ensuring that contracts are awarded to the most suitable contractors.
    • Collaborating with other members of the project team, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
    • Monitoring project progress and ensuring that costs are accurately recorded and reported.
    • Managing the payment process, including valuing completed work and issuing payment certificates.
    • Ensuring that all project-related documentation is accurately recorded and filed.
    • Conducting post-project evaluations and producing reports on the project’s financial performance.
    • Keeping up to date with industry developments and changes in legislation and regulations relating to construction costs and contracts.

    Experience / Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying
    • A minimum 3 years experience in quantity surveying
    • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes
    • Proficient in cost estimating and budget management software
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Attention to detail and accuracy task.
    • Self-driven and proactive nature.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrate leadership qualities.
    • High computer literacy and ability to learn new software.
    • Experience in document creation.

    Professional Driver (Pilot)

    Job Objective

    • We are seeking the services of a Pilot(driver)to join our team. you will be responsible for safely transporting personnel, equipment, and materials to various job sites.
    • You will be required to follow all traffic laws and regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
    • Your role will also include ensuring that the company vehicles are well-maintained and in good condition.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly to transport personnel, equipment, and materials to various job sites.
    • Maintain a clean driving record, ensuring that all traffic laws and regulations are followed.
    • Ensure that the company vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good condition.
    • Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle, including checking oil and fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes.
    • Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
    • Plan and follow the most efficient route to reach the destination on time.
    • Assist in loading and unloading equipment and materials. Keep accurate records of mileage and fuel consumption.
    • Follow all company policies and procedures related to the use of company vehicles.
    • Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors regarding job assignments, schedules, and any issues that may arise.
    • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour with all clients and co-workers.

    Requirements

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
    • Must have at least 2 years of experience in driving company vehicles.
    • Ability to read and follow maps, as well as use GPS systems.
    • Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Working Conditions:

    • The job requires long hours of driving.
    • The driver must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
    • The driver may be required to work at various job sites, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards.
    • The driver must be able to sit for extended periods and operate a vehicle for long hours.

    Salary
    N60,000 Monthly.
