Job Vacancies in Building and Construction

In the building and construction industry, you may be responsible for inspecting buildings and infrastructure such as highways and bridges, homes, dams, and sewer systems. You may also have to examine structures to ensure that they've been built in compliance with building codes and ordinances. In addition to undertaking some of the works personally, you may also manage the entire project. This may include arranging for subcontractors to complete specific jobs, and making sure that the project meets industry and government regulations as well as the clients’ requirements. As a builder, you’ll be responsible for a range of manual, managerial and administrative responsibilities, like Interpreting or organizing for plans to be drawn to meet building code regulations and client specifications and providing quotes or submitting tenders for building works.
