    Benin Recreation Club (BRC 1933) is one of Nigeria's foremost private recreational and social clubs. We are seeking an experienced, disciplined and results-oriented General Manager to oversee the day-to-day administration and operations of the Club.

    The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, ensure efficient service delivery, supervise staff, maintain financial discipline and support the Executive Committee in achieving the Club's objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the daily operations of the Club.
    • Supervise all departmental managers and staff.
    • Prepare annual budgets and monitor expenditure.
    • Work closely with the Treasurer and Financial Secretary on financial management.
    • Prepare monthly management and operational reports.
    • Ensure accurate accounting records and internal controls.
    • Monitor revenue collection and expenditure.
    • Coordinate maintenance of Club facilities.
    • Develop and implement operational policies and SOPs.
    • Drive membership satisfaction and service quality.
    • Oversee procurement and inventory management.
    • Ensure compliance with Club policies and statutory requirements.
    • Support planning and execution of Club events.
    • Improve operational efficiency and cost management.

    Requirements

    Applicants should possess:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management or related discipline.
    • Minimum of 3 years' management experience, with at least 1-2 years in a senior management position.
    • Strong accounting and financial management knowledge.
    • Ability to interpret financial statements and budgets.
    • Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • High integrity and accountability.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
    • Experience managing a hospitality business, club, hotel or similar organization is highly desirable.
