    Personnel Manager (Plastic Industry) - Sango Ota

    Key responsibilities:

    • Recruitment and On-boarding: Manage the entire recruitment process, including creating job listings, interviewing candidates, and overseeing the on-boarding and new hire paperwork for new employees.
    • Employee Relations: Act as a mediator and point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and other issues, working to bridge the gap between employees and management.
    • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement training and development programs to improve employee skills and productivity.
    • HR Strategy: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company's overall business objectives and goals.
    • Compliance and Policy: Ensure that all HR activities comply with labor laws and company policies. This is especially critical for health and safety in a manufacturing setting, where the manager must ensure compliance with safety protocols and risk assessments.
    • Payroll and Benefits: Oversee the payroll process and assist employees with issues related to benefits, time off requests, and other administrative matters.

    Essential skills and qualifications:

    • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is often required, along with certifications in areas like production management if they focus on that aspect.
    • Experience: Previous experience in HR or personnel management is essential, along with specific knowledge of the plastics manufacturing industry.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software is necessary.

    Soft Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
    • People management skills.
    • Adaptability, organization, and initiative.
    • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

    Salary: 350k - 500k
