    • The Executive Assistant’s is an important role in the management of information, schedules and workload that the Director for Informal Sector Revenue Generation (and other mangers in the department if required) must work through.
    • This sector and consequently this department, is critical to the expansion of efficiency gains for the KS-IRS and in fact interaction between the KWSG and the people.

    • Therefore not only is it crucial for ' fiscal sustainability, it is necessary for more responsive and higher impact program planning by the KWSG.

    • Offering guidance about technical and any other issues that are impediments to the taxpayers’ understanding of their obligations;
    • Help to conduct surveys, studies, and focus groups to determine how effective existing tax-specific products, services, and communications are to payment and collection;
    • Customizing communication materials to help educate taxpayers on their obligations to file and pay taxes, and to comply voluntarily with tax laws;

      • Ilorin Coordinator - covering Ilorin East, South and West LGAs

    Special Assistant to the Executive Chairperson

    Job Description

    • The Special Assistant is the Executive Chairperson's principal adviser on general management and administration of the IRS, he or she is a facilitator, organizer and communicator.
    • The SA will work with all internal personnel of the KS-IRS as well as parties that are external to the organization on matters of overall policy, operations, management, and stakeholder engagement of the IRS.

    Specific tasks are divided into the following categories and include:
    Legal Services & Advisory:

    • Manage all contractual matters on behalf of the organization, both from a corporate and external commercial perspectives;
    • Establish and lead the Legal Issues Workgroup and manage the issues raised therein;
    • Supervise external parties wherever possible, and lead their provision of guidance, appeals, judicial reviews of decisions and other matters that may arise;
    • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation throughout the organization and provide in house training as required;
    • Provide Company Secretarial services and general corporate law support as required;

    Prosecution Services:

    • Provide expert knowledge, opinion and mentoring, in the designated area of legal specialty, to field officers and HQ officers of the KS-IRS;
    • Contribute to the formulation and introduction of new legislation and policy, including the identification of emerging issues and challenges with recommended courses of action;
    • Drive the development of the relevant systems and practices to capture knowledge as well as ensuring that the relevant systems and practices are kept accurate and updated;
    • Hold regular information and training sessions with individuals or groups in relation to the preparation of documents and cases;
    • Deal proactively with other stakeholders in the criminal justice system including the Courts, Police, Ministry of Justice, victim support groups and other relevant bodies.
    • Serve on committees and other forums designed to improve the governance and professionalism of the KS-IRS;
    • Prepare the cases and represent KS-IRS and KWSG in court when required.

    Education

    • LLM Tax Law
    • MBA/MA/MSc that combined training in Economics, Finance, General Management, and/or Organizational Behavior.
    • Formal managerial, leadership training, stakeholder engagement and negotiations.

    Professional Experience:

    • 15 years
    • 8 - 10 years of this experience must have been in an executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory capacity. Supervision must have included supervising staff performing professional work in the areas described above.
    • Extensive working knowledge of federal and state Tax Laws, Criminal Laws and other relevant legislation, with considerable knowledge of, and practicing experience in, the specialty.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively identify and respond to emerging issues at both a strategic and operational level in a changing legal environment.
    • Several instances of providing legal advice in a clear and straightforward way, with contextual understanding of tax policy i.e. in a developing/transition economy context and especially with regards to the informal sector.
    • Demonstrable proficiency in developing strategic relationships with trade unions/associations, and the community.
    • Required Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft systems, e.g., Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Strong project management, time management and organizational skills required.
    • The ability to manage multiple priorities, take initiative, delegate responsibility, prioritize and ensure the delivery of on-time deliverables is key.
    • Clear understanding of both motivations and requirements of key players that will impact KS-IRS.
    • Fluency in written and spoken English required, Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

    • High level of digital literacy and familiarity with database management systems

    Job Description

    • Director of Corporate, HNI & MDA Revenue is responsible the revenue collection of large and medium size corporates, nigh net worth individuals (HNIs) and the parastatals/MDAs (Ministries, Departments & Agencies) of the KWSG.
    • This requires the Director to devise strategies for and oversee planning, organizing, management and administrative responsibilities for billing and revenue collection; as well as the development of revenue generating activities.
    • Furthermore, S/he will ensure close integration with the corporate sector to ensure accuracy of revenue recognized, and prompt collection of accounts receivable.
    • Given that corporates, HNIs and MDAs all have their own specific operations and needs, collection from each require a high degree of administrative flexibility in execution.

    • Communicates technical information internally to Executive Chairman and other relevant Directors regarding new strategies and concepts for efficient revenue collection, changes in laws, rules and regulations;
    • Identifies areas of critical collection inefficiencies, develops techniques for increasing program effectiveness, and implements the change process.

    Education

    • MBA/MA/M.Sc that combined training in Economics, Finance, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, and Law;
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation;
    • Professional membership of The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria is a must;
    • Formal managerial, leadership training with focus on stakeholder engagement and negotiations.

    Professional Experience:
