Internal Control / Compliance Officer at Fint Consults

Edin & People Limited, a fast-growing real estate company in Abuja, is seeking a highly analytical, ethical and experienced Internal Control & Compliance Officer to strengthen our financial controls, ensure regulatory compliance and support sound corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor internal control systems and policies.
• Conduct periodic operational, financial and compliance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations and industry best practices.
• Review financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness and authorization.
• Monitor the activities of the commission structures and verify sales documentation.
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend practical solutions.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Investigate suspected fraud, irregularities or policy violations and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure compliance with tax, financial reporting and other regulatory obligations.
• Prepare internal audit and compliance reports for Management.
• Monitor adherence to procurement, payment, and approval processes.
• Support Management in improving operational efficiency and safeguarding company assets.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in Internal Control, Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, or Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit procedures, and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, investigative and report-writing skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
