Key Responsibilities

• As a House Parent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day well-being of students in your boarding house, including:
• Creating a warm, supportive, and structured environment that promotes students’ emotional, social, and academic development
• Building strong relationships with students, acting as a mentor and role model
• Overseeing daily routines, including wake-up, meals, prep time, and bedtime. Ensuring the health and safety of students, including administering basic first aid and liaising with medical staff when needed
•  Communicating regularly with parents/guardians and school staff regarding student welfare. 
•  Maintaining cleanliness and order in the boarding house and reporting maintenance issues. 
•  Organising and supervising recreational activities, outings, and weekend programs. 
•  Upholding school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.                                                  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred)
• Prior experience working with adolescents in a residential, educational, or youth support setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations with sensitivity
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles
• Basic IT skills and the ability to keep accurate records
