Social Media and Media Communication Teacher at ATECH Polytechnic

We are looking for a qualified and creative Social Media and Media Communication Teacher to train learners in modern digital communication, content creation, online branding, and responsible use of social media platforms.

Location: Yenagoa, Bayelsa State
Engagement: Part-time / Contract / Full-time, depending on availability

Key Responsibilities

The teacher will be expected to:

• Teach learners the basics of social media communication and digital media.
• Train students on content creation for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and WhatsApp Business.
• Introduce learners to online branding, audience engagement, storytelling, and digital professionalism.
• Teach practical skills such as creating posts, captions, short videos, flyers, reels, and basic campaign planning.
• Guide learners on responsible communication, online safety, and professional conduct.
• Prepare simple lesson notes, practical exercises, and assessments.
• Support learners to build confidence in using social media for business, career, education, and public communication.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should have:

• Good knowledge of social media platforms and digital communication.
• Experience in content creation, media communication, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related fields.
• Ability to teach beginners in a simple and practical way.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Basic knowledge of tools such as Canva, CapCut, Facebook Business Suite, or similar platforms will be an advantage.
• Teaching or training experience will also be an advantage.
