    Sales Supervisor (Mini Lead) — Kano

    We’re looking for a driven Sales Mini Lead who is ready to start on the ground: selling, closing deals, and setting the pace while at the same time building and shaping a strong team around them. You won’t just manage people. You’ll build them, coach them, and turn them into performers. As the team grows, you’ll fully step into a leadership role focused on driving performance, growing people, and scaling results across Kano. This role is for someone who wants more than a job in sales, someone who wants to grow fast, lead others, and build real impact through results.     WHAT THE ROLE LOOKS LIKE 

    Phase 1 — Hands-on Execution (Current)

    In this phase, you will:

    • Achieve your individual sales target by  identifying and onboarding businesses to Jiji
    • Actively sell in the field and lead by example
    • Mentor, coach and shadow newly recruited sales agents through organized field market storms
    • Monitor daily/weekly team performance (registrations, ads, sales)
    • Share regular performance updates and insights with management
    • Ensure proper follow-up and quality of customer interactions
    • Map key sales areas and identify coverage gaps across Kano
    • Ensure sufficient agent coverage in priority markets
    • Optimize agent deployment based on market potential and performance

    Phase 2 — Full Team Ownership (Scale Stage)

    Once the team is stable and consistently performing:

    • Transition fully into team management, stepping back from personal sales targets
    • Own team performance and KPI delivery end-to-end
    • Lead structured coaching and training programs for agents
    • Collaborate with management on hiring, growth strategy, and team structuring
    • Be the go-to point of accountability for the Kano sales operation

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales role, with a track record of hitting targets
    • At least 1 year experience in team leadership, coaching, or supervision
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; you can motivate people without micromanaging
    • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative in a field-based environment
    • Analytical mindset, able to read performance data and translate it into action
    • Familiarity with CRM tools or willingness to learn 
    • Based in Kano
