    • The Manager, Technical Development is responsible for leading the organization's subsurface and asset development team in delivering high-quality reservoir management, exploration, and development activities.
    • This role oversees geological, geophysical, petrophysical, production optimisation and reservoir engineering operations to maximise asset value and ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization's oil and gas resources.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering discipline with at least 20 years’ relevant experience as a reservoir engineer.
    • Extensive experience in brown field subsurface management
    • Extensive experience in subsurface management roles in the oil and gas industry.
    • Proficiency in reservoir characterisation, modelling, simulation, and production optimisation techniques.
    • Demonstration of cross functional understanding of subsurface, surface facilities and field operations.

    Job Description

    • We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Well Engineer to join our upstream oil and gas operations. 
    • The Senior Well Engineer will play a critical role in planning, designing, and executing well engineering activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling and completion operations. 
    • The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a proven track record in upstream oil and gas projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the planning, design, and execution of drilling, completion, and workover programs for onshore and offshore wells.
    • Prepare well engineering documentation, including well proposals, drilling programs, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and Nigerian regulatory requirements.

    Drilling Engineering Manager

    Purpose of the Job

    • Responsible for technical integrity and assurance of well designs and technical risk assessment, management, contingency planning and mitigation.

    Principal Accountabilities

    • Demonstrate a high commitment to HSE.
    • Develop and manage the process for technical challenge and evaluation of well concepts and models.
    • Verify that assigned wells have gone through the required Quality Assurance process before commencement of drilling operations
    • Deliver planned number of wells on budget, on schedule and to the quality standards specified in the well proposal
    • Manage the interface with Subsurface and Operations Teams.
    • Coordinate service contractors to ensure that high quality services are provided in accordance with their respective contracts
    • Liaises with the Community Relation Officers to work out strategies with the host communities to minimize disruption in Well drilling and completion operations.
    • Manage the process of obtaining DPR approvals and other governmental permitting requirements
    • Manage the progress of work on well drilling and completion activities assigned to his team.

    Job Knowledge & Qualifications

    • A graduate Degree in Engineering or physical science
    • COREN
    • A minimum of 12 years Oil and Gas drilling and completion experience.
    • Well Engineer in E & P Company with global exposure an advantage.
