MyJobMag Career Kickstart Scholarship 2026: Training Report & Highlights

Following the resounding success of the pilot programme, the MyJobMag Career Kickstart Scholarship 2025, the second edition was launched in 2026 to expand impact and deepen outcomes. This year's training equipped a new cohort of participants with the tools, mentorship, and data-backed support needed to launch or pivot their careers confidently. MyJobMag remains unwavering in its commitment to empowering Nigerians with digital skills and sustainable career opportunities.

 

Objective of the Career Kickstart Scholarship Program

The objective of this program is to provide Nigerian youths with access to digital skills training, data support for seamless learning, and career guidance to help them transition into the workforce.

Training Highlights

Aside from the core digital skills training itself, we hosted three additional webinars designed to teach participants about personal development and share practical insights on how to thrive in the world of work.

 

1. Pre-Training Webinar

The pre-training webinar was held on 19th February 2026 to prepare participants for a successful learning journey. The session was designed to set clear expectations for the training, outline the structure and deliverables, and reinforce the key mindsets, such as consistency, curiosity, and resilience, needed to complete the programme effectively.

 

2. CV Workshop

Midway through the training, a dedicated CV workshop was organised to help participants translate their newly acquired digital skills into compelling career narratives. The session focused on practical CV writing techniques, tailoring applications to specific job roles, and avoiding common pitfalls that hinder job seekers. Participants received hands-on guidance and real-time feedback, empowering them to present their evolving competencies confidently to potential employers. This workshop further reinforced MyJobMag's commitment to bridging the gap between skill acquisition and actual job placement.

 

3. Final Career Clarity Webinar

At the conclusion of the training, a final career clarity webinar was hosted to help participants consolidate their learning and map out their next professional steps. The session focused on identifying suitable career paths aligned with their newly acquired skills, setting realistic job search goals, and building confidence for the transition into the workforce. Participants received practical advice on navigating Nigeria's job market, leveraging their certificates, and positioning themselves effectively to employers. This closing webinar served as a bridge from learning to action, ensuring that graduates left not only with skills but also with a clear sense of direction and purpose.

 

Training Completion & Certification

The training was completed on the 27 of March, 2026, and participants who successfully completed the training received their certificates by the set deadline, marking a key milestone in their career development journey.
