Job Summary

The Branch Manager will lead and oversee all operations of the Port Harcourt branch, ensuring efficient delivery of inspection and testing services to clients in the oil and gas sector. The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and technical understanding to drive business growth, maintain compliance with industry standards, and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Oversee day-to-day branch operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
• Manage inspection and testing activities, including NDT, laboratory services, and field inspections.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, client specifications, and international standards.

Business Development

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including IOCs, EPC contractors, and local operators.
• Prepare and review bids, proposals, and service contracts.

Financial Performance

• Develop and manage branch budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Monitor revenue, cost control, and profitability targets.
• Ensure timely invoicing and collection of receivables.

Team Leadership & HR Management

• Recruit, train, and supervise technical and administrative staff.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.

Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)

• Ensure strict adherence to QHSE policies and procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture aligned with industry best practices.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients in the region.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Minimum of 8–12 years’ experience in oil & gas inspection and testing services.
• At least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of NDT methods, inspection standards, and laboratory testing procedures.
• Familiarity with local regulatory requirements in Nigeria.
