Responsible for technical integrity and assurance of well designs and technical risk assessment, management, contingency planning and mitigation.
Principal Accountabilities
Demonstrate a high commitment to HSE.
Develop and manage the process for technical challenge and evaluation of well concepts and models.
Verify that assigned wells have gone through the required Quality Assurance process before commencement of drilling operations
Deliver planned number of wells on budget, on schedule and to the quality standards specified in the well proposal
Manage the interface with Subsurface and Operations Teams.
Coordinate service contractors to ensure that high quality services are provided in accordance with their respective contracts
Liaises with the Community Relation Officers to work out strategies with the host communities to minimize disruption in Well drilling and completion operations.
Manage the process of obtaining DPR approvals and other governmental permitting requirements
Manage the progress of work on well drilling and completion activities assigned to his team.
Job Knowledge & Qualifications
A graduate Degree in Engineering or physical science
COREN
A minimum of 12 years Oil and Gas drilling and completion experience.
Well Engineer in E & P Company with global exposure an advantage.
