    Hub Operations Intern

    ROLE SUMMARY

    • ALX Africa is now looking for a Hub Operation Intern to work from our office in Lagos, Nigeria, and support the daily management of our hubs in Lagos and other locations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist the Hub Operations Manager with daily tasks and operations.
    • Monitor and analyze hub performance, providing insights for improvement.
    • Manage day-to-day operations, including facility maintenance and inventory tracking.
    • Conduct routine operational reviews and audits
    • Work closely with and supervise the Facilities team on repairs, janitorial services, Security, and maintenance.
    • Help implement new processes and procedures to improve hub operations.
    • Enhance customer experiences through efficient service delivery.
    • Support event planning and coordination for community engagements.
    • Track and report key operational metrics.
    • Provide cross-functional support to other business units.
    • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

    SKILL REQUIREMENTS - ESSENTIAL

    • A degree in any related field.

    Learning Community Experience Intern

    ROLE SUMMARY

    • As a Learning Community Experience Intern at ALX, you will gain hands-on experience in the world of education technology and contribute to the growth of our vibrant learning community.
    • This role combines technical expertise, educational leadership, and community building. You will be a critical catalyst in our mission to develop Africa's next generation of tech and professional leaders, working across various program domains including Pathway, data, technology, creative track, and career development.
    • The ideal candidate is as comfortable with data analysis and visualization as they are with community building.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Own end-to-end program lifecycle from activation to alumni transition
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with city teams, central program teams, and other functions within the organization
    • Analyze program metrics and create impact reports
    • Support and engage with the learner community
    • Track and measure community engagement metrics
    • Manage program operations, resources, and stakeholder expectations
    • Implement data collection and analysis frameworks

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Minimum 3 years of any experience (depending on the role you select): Pathway 1, Pathway 2, AICE/VA/PF 1, AICE/VA/PF 2, AWS/SF/Cyber, Creative 1, Creative 2, Data/Community, FE/BE/Pro Dev 1 and FE/BE/Pro Dev 2.     Learning Community Experience Fellow

    ROLE SUMMARY

    • As a Learning Experience Fellow at ALX, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of education in Africa. The data programmes equip learners with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in today’s data-driven world. They learn to leverage powerful tools to analyse complex datasets, uncover valuable insights, and make data-based decisions. This role combines advanced data expertise with educational leadership to deliver transformative learning experiences. You will be responsible for managing data programs, implementing analytics solutions, and building technical capabilities among learners. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills in data analytics, experience in educational leadership, and a passion for developing the next generation of data professionals in Africa.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Program Leadership:

    • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the data programs (data science, data analytics, data engineering), from enrollment to Karibu, community management, learner experience and engagement, tracking, advocacy and support, to Tambali and a seamless handover to alumni. .
    • Collaborate cross-functionally within the Lagos City Team, City Teams as a whole, Central program teams, and then Talent Readiness, Talent Experience, Selection, Brand, etc., to ensure program alignment with ALX's strategic goals.
    • Drive continuous improvement in program delivery with the north star being graduation, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize learner experiences.

    Community Building & Technical Mentorship:

    • Foster a strong data learning community that encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing
    • Organize technical workshops, hackathons, and data projects to enhance practical skills
    • Mentor learners in advanced data analytics and visualization techniques
    • Lead team projects and guide learners through technical challenges
    • Create opportunities for peer learning and technical skill development

    Data Analytics and Visualization:

    • Design and implement comprehensive data analytics solutions for tracking program performance
    • Create automated dashboards and reporting systems for monitoring learner progress
    • Develop and maintain visualization tools to communicate program metrics effectively
    • Train learners in using various data processing and visualization tools
    • Implement data quality controls and validation processes

    Operational Excellence:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of your program, including scheduling, upholding codes of conduct, resource allocation, and financial stewardship..

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum 5 years of work experience in data analytics, education, or program management

    • Proven track record in team leadership and project management
    • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field
    • Expertise in data processing tools and programming languages
