Regional Manager at The Label Store

A leading and fast-growing supermarket chain with multiple branches across Lagos State is seeking to recruit a highly experienced, strategic, and result-driven Regional Manager to oversee the operations and performance of multiple branches within an assigned region.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in the financial sector, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to analyze financial and operational data to drive business growth and profitability. The successful candidate will serve as the direct Line Manager to Branch Managers and provide strategic recommendations to the Board and Executive Management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' cognate experience in a senior management position, preferably within the financial sector, retail industry, banking, FMCG, or any other structured organization.
• Minimum of B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or any related discipline. Possession of an MBA or relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
• Strong financial management and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements, identify trends, and provide strategic business recommendations.
• Proven experience in managing multiple business units, branches, or operational locations.
• Excellent leadership, people management, coaching, and performance management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all branches within the assigned region to ensure the achievement of business objectives and performance targets.
• Directly supervise Branch Managers and ensure effective implementation of company policies, operational standards, and strategic initiatives.
• Analyze financial, operational, and sales reports from branches and provide actionable recommendations to Management and the Board to enhance profitability and business performance.
• Monitor regional sales performance, operating expenses, inventory management, and overall branch profitability.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue generation, cost optimization, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure strict compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk management procedures across all branches.
• Conduct regular branch visits, operational audits, and performance reviews to identify improvement opportunities and ensure adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, Finance, Operations, Human Resources, and other departments to achieve organizational objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Branch Managers and other key personnel to build a high-performing workforce.
• Prepare and present periodic business performance reports, financial analyses, and strategic recommendations to Executive Management and the Board.
• Identify market opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive threats within the retail industry and recommend appropriate business actions.
