    Head,IT - Chief Technology Officer

    Job Description

    • Accountable to the Executive Director, Operations, IT & Compliance for strategy, Policy & Compliance, Service Delivery, and overall direction for the IT operations function in service to business and corporate fiduciary requirements.
    • Supervise the department’s budget, its staff, and resources
    • Champions at the corporate level the use and adoption of technology and automation as a means of achieving corporate strategy Functions & Responsibilities
    • Develop the IT department strategy in support of FAML’s corporate objectives
    • Set the annual objectives, and performance targets for the IT department in line with corporate performance targets as a member of the executive management
    • Ensure that the annual objectives and performance targets for the department are cascaded down to the departments, units, teams, and individuals and are monitored for compliance.
    • Supervise subordinate units and ensuring effective and efficient communication between each of them to create synergy and achieve department objectives in the process
    • Ensure the overall delivery framework within the IT department is efficient and meets business requirements.
    • Oversee developments and ensure compliance with IT policies by the appropriate departments in alignment with Corporate and regulatory requirements.
    • Arbitrate on significant escalated transaction-related issues raised by operations, and all departments as a result of the use of technology, equipment, and/or conduct of the IT staff
    • Report regularly on identified market operational issues to the Executive Management
    • Develop executive-level strategic vendor relationships that have a critical impact on the business
    • Provide strong leadership by championing the use of information technology in FAML as a means of improving business performance.
    • Review annual IT departments budget forecasts, and consolidates into department level budget to be approved by Technology Committee and Executive Management
    • Work with executive management to develop appropriate spending levels within FAML and alignment with the corporate strategies.
    • Serves as a member of the Technology committee

    Risk Analyst

    Job Summary

    • The Risk and Financial analyst is responsible for providing support to the CRO and Risk Manager as they provide risk oversight to the subsidiaries of the Group.
    • The Group follows a three lines of defense approach and you will be accountable for supporting and providing oversight to Management in their 1st line of defense role as well as contributing to a strong 2nd line of defense.
    • An Analyst requires the skills and experience to engage with stakeholders at all levels and produce a consistently high standard of work.

    Reponsibilities:

    • Carry out quantitative risk and financial analysis, prepare reports and make recommendations to functional management.
    • Assist in the identification, assessment, mitigation and governance of risk.
    • Identify and carry out analysis around key exposures within the Group including: Market risk, investment risk, operational risk -Work with management to calculate the risk associated with specific transactions and make recommendations to mitigate or control risk
    • Provide periodic and ad-hoc risk and financial reports to Management and the Board on an ad-hoc, monthly and quarterly basis.
    • Be / Become a deep expert in the business and operations of the organization and its individual areas

    Requirements

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline / one requiring a high level of numeracy. a Masters degree is an added advantage
    • Working towards a professional qualifications in accounting, investments or risk management.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience ideally in risk management.

    Enterprise Risk Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Risk manager is responsible for the implementation of the Enterprise risk management framework and the identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting of risk to Management and the Board of HoldCo and its subsidiaries.
    • The Risk Manager has primary responsibility for risk within FSDH Holdco, FSDH Asset Management, FSDH Capital, and will work with other risk management teams in coverage of the remaining subsidiaries.
    • The FSDH Group follows a three-lines-of-defense approach and you will be accountable for supporting and providing oversight to Management in their 1st line of defense role as well as taking full responsibility for providing a strong 2nd line of defense.
    • The Risk Manager requires the skills and experience to engage with stakeholders at all levels and provide guidance and advice to the business in the structuring of operations and mitigation of risk.
    • The Risk Manager must have an excellent level of technical expertise and be able to coach and mentor the team effectively. You must be a good communicator and have strong negotiation skills and leadership abilities.
    • Experience in capital markets is an advantage.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include:

    • Ensure that appropriate risk policies and controls are in place and working as required covering but not limited to the following major risk categories:
      • Enterprise Risk Management
      • Market Risk Management
      • Credit Risk Management
      • Liquidity Risk Management
      • Operational risk management
      • Technology and cyber security risk management
      • Outsourcing risk management
      • Business continuity planning and coordination
      • Conflicts of interest  / Chinese walls
    • Structure and lead work to identify risks through qualitative and quantitative risk assessment and analysis of all business, product, and customer risks.
    • Develop plans, in conjunction with the business, to mitigate identified risks.
    • Formulation of risk limits, monitoring of exposures, and reporting of exceedances and risk issues.
    • Develop relationships with Risk managers within the subsidiaries and ensure that reporting is provided that gives a true picture of risk within the subsidiaries. Work with risk management in the subsidiaries to deliver group-wide risk projects
    • Produce risk dashboards and other reports to Management and Board on a monthly/quarterly basis.
    • Work with the Board to formulate a risk appetite and associated risk limits
    • Provide risk training & education and enforce, within line functions, the execution of daily controls and timely reporting of risk issues;
    • Chair Management risk committees and be an active member of other risk-related Committees and meetings.

    Requirements

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline / one requiring a high level of numeracy. a Master's degree is an added advantage
    • Professional qualifications in the risk management field
    • Experience or exposure to ERM approaches
    • Minimum of 10 years experience in risk management; ideally in capital markets or financial markets

    Requirements:

    • Familiarity with risk management-related regulatory requirements, practices, procedures, systems, and framework of the financial industry
    • Experience in liaising with a broad range of stakeholders
