Senior Site Reliability Engineer / Cloud Engineerat Aloft LLC

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer / Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure and applications. This role combines cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, platform operations, and site reliability engineering practices to ensure optimal system performance, resilience, and operational excellence across cloud and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Build and support cloud-native and hybrid solutions across Azure, AWS, and on-premises environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools.
• Implement automation solutions to streamline infrastructure provisioning, deployments, patching, and operational processes.
• Build and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability platforms to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response efforts for critical systems.
• Collaborate with software development teams to design reliable, scalable, and secure application architectures.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and deployment processes.
• Develop disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.
• Implement cloud security best practices, governance controls, and compliance requirements.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, and operational costs.
• Manage and support third-party SaaS platforms and enterprise infrastructure services.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience managing Windows and Linux server environments.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud networking.
• Experience implementing security best practices within cloud environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration platforms.
• Experience with SQL Server and cloud-based database platforms.
• Knowledge of SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability engineering.
• Experience supporting high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or Terraform Associate.
