    Procurement Officer

    Our client is a luxury 5-Star Restaurant with years of Experience in the Hospitality Industry in Nigeria. They currently have an opening of Procurement Officer in Lagos.

    They are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to manage the company’s supply of products and services. The ideal candidate responsibilities will include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers, discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, so that the company can invest in growth and people.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
    • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
    • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
    • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
    • Examine and test existing contracts
    • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
    • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
    • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
    • Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
    • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements

    Skill & Requirement

    • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a hotel/similar field

    • Talent in negotiations and networking
    • Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software
    • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
    • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
    • Strong leadership capabilities

    Human Resources Manager

    Our client is a luxury 5-Star Restaurant with years of Experience in the Hospitality Industry in Nigeria. The currently have an opening of Human Resources Manager in Lagos.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist and resolve restaurant staff and management queries.
    • Updating salary and benefits information.
    • Developing job descriptions, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates, preparing personal files of the colleagues.
    • Developing policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management.
    • Helps employees identify specific behaviours that will contribute to service excellence.
    • Responsible for the on the job orientation for new hires.
    • Assist with employee relation issues in the restaurant in a confidential manner, including disciplinarians, grievance and capability.
    • Ensure the recruitment and selection process is adhered to correctly.
    • Manage HR administration such as contracts, letters and personnel files.
    • Full usage of HR System including running of Payroll.
    • Analyze staff turnover and sick leave with the aim of implementing strategies for reduction.
    • Assists the HR manager in budget preparation where required and is fully aware of all Budgeted Positions and hiring approvals.
    • Ensure compliance with all HR legislation and Labour laws.
    • Provide staff counselling, guidance, career planning, and oversee disciplinary matters up to and including dismissal and oversee any Grievance Complaints made as required.
    • Supporting the restaurant with departmental training requirements including inductions, work experience, careers fairs, and training materials.
    • Ensures confidentiality is maintained at all times and provides information only to those with a need to know.

    Skills & Requirements

    • A good tertiary degree
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in human resources.
    • Able to engage in meaningful negotiation and resolution.
    • Knowledge of employment legislation.

    Painting and Decoration Trainer

    We are a non-for-profit Vocational and Technical Institute that is committed in providing excellent training, education and resources for our students to be equipped for today's competitive world.

    Job Summary: We are looking to hire a Painting and Decoration Trainer with the main aim of imparting theoretical and practical instructions in Painting and decorating requirements outlined in Nigeria's National Occupational Standards for Construction/Building Trades.

    Responsibilities

    • Organizing, evaluating educational activities – safety, correct tool use, and paints for projects, preparing walls and other surfaces before painting, mixing and applying paints, varnishes, and sealants for a lasting finish.
    • Prepare as needed lesson plans, course notes, presentational materials, and handouts;
    • Schedule, conduct, correct, and mark assessments/tests in line with applicable assessment programs, as well as perform related administrative activities;
    • Maintain course records as directed.
    • Observe and supervise participants to verify that proper processes, quality standards, and safety procedures are
    • Observe and supervise participants in terms of their timekeeping, attendance, behavior, and overall application to the course.
    • Prepare and submit progress reports for each participant.
    • Collaborating with other design and construction specialists.
    • Keeping the workspace and tools clean.
    • Use modern technology to aid in the delivery and administration of training, if needed.

    b) Maintenance

    • Ensure that the tools, equipment, machines, and materials in the training area are properly secured.
    • Ensure that machines and equipment are maintained according to the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule;
    • Plan and ensure that all course materials, as well as non-capital tools and equipment, are delivered on schedule.
    • Request the purchase and delivery of course materials, as well as non- capital tools and equipment.
    • Assume any other responsibilities, such as other instructional requests, that may be assigned from time to time.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of HND in Painting and Sculpture/ Painting and decoration or any related training
    • Minimum of 6 years proven practical experience in the construction industry.
    • Previous teaching or training experience preferred; i.e. Experience in working with curriculum and development of training material and
    • delivering technical training.
