    General Manager

    Position Overview

    As W2A Trade transitions into a full-fledged export company, the General Manager (GM) will play a critical leadership role. The GM will be responsible for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and overseeing all trade-related activities. The ideal candidate will have strong operational experience, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced and high-impact environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

    • Define and execute the business strategy to position W2A Trade as a top-performing agribusiness export company.
    • Align W2A Trade’s goals with the broader W2AI Vision 2023 agenda.
      Monitor and report on performance, growth targets, and sustainability outcomes.

    Operations Management

    • Oversee end-to-end export activities, including sourcing, aggregation, quality control, packaging, and logistics.
    • Develop and manage aggregation centers across Nigeria to ensure reliable commodity flow.
    • Implement operational systems that ensure compliance, efficiency, and scalability.

    Business Development and Stakeholder Engagement

    • Lead outreach to local and international offtakes, buyers, and investors. Convert trade leads from missions, shows, and referrals into successful deals.
    • Foster strategic relationships that contribute to long-term trade growth and market visibility.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with W2AI’s core departments—Legal, Finance, Growth & Trade Facilitation, and Operations—to ensure smooth execution of all trade mandates.
    • Participate in monthly performance reviews with W2AI department leads to ensure alignment on operations, documentation, finance, and outreach.
    • Utilize shared platforms such as CRM and Zoho Projects to manage real-time collaboration and visibility between offices.

    Compliance and Documentation

    • Ensure all licenses and regulatory approvals are secured, up to date, and properly filed.
    • Coordinate with legal and administrative teams to guarantee full documentation of all trade activities.
    • Maintain rigorous reporting standards for internal stakeholders and external partners.

    Team Development and Management

    • Recruit, build, and manage a high-performing team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
    • Set performance objectives, provide training, and foster a results-driven team culture.
    • Manage field operations and coordinate with staff across sourcing, packaging, and logistics.

    Expected Outcomes and Milestones

    • Within the first 90 days, the GM is expected to initiate and close at least one export deal generating a minimum of ₦200 million in trade revenue. By the medium term, the GM should have developed at least two operational aggregation centers and converted five high-quality investor or offtaker leads. Over the long term, the GM will be responsible for forming at least three new strategic trade partnerships aligned with Vision 2023. Additional short-term priorities include securing all necessary licenses and building a core team of at least five members.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a master’s degree is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of eight years of professional experience in agribusiness, export trade, or supply chain operations, with at least three years in a leadership or general management role.
    • Demonstrated experience in building and scaling trade or export-focused businesses.
    • Strong understanding of the agricultural export value chain and regulatory environment in Nigeria.

    Skills and Competencies Strategic

    • Strategic thinking with strong operational execution capability.
    • Commercially driven with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
    • Team leadership and performance management experience.
    • Proficiency in using project and performance tracking tools such as CRM systems and Zoho Projects.
    • Strong communication and report-writing skills.

    Digital Design & Brand Specialist

    Position Overview

    We’re looking for a highly skilled and driven design professional to own W2A’s visual identity across digital and print channels. You must be passionate about branding, capable of producing high-quality designs under tight deadlines, and willing to contribute proactively to brand evolution. If you\'re a visual communicator who can transform strategy into impactful visuals, we want to hear from you.

    Core Responsibilities

    Brand Identity Development

    • Maintain and enhance a consistent brand identity across all platforms.
    • Design logos, color palettes, typography, branded templates, and visual guidelines.
    • Produce materials such as brochures, presentations, business cards, and branded souvenirs.
    • Periodically audit and refine existing brand assets.
       

    Digital & Print Graphic Design

    • Design graphics for W2A website, social media, newsletters, and marketing campaigns.
    • Create high-impact visuals for events: banners, posters, stage backdrops, and publications.
    • Ensure all assets are optimized for specific formats and platforms (print and digital).

    Visual Content Collaboration

    • Work with the communications and growth teams to design visuals for campaigns.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with brand goals.
    • Provide creative input that supports and enhances campaign strategies.

    Website and Digital Presence

    • Support the redesign and upkeep of the W2A website from a visual design perspective.
    • Design engaging infographics, research visuals, and multimedia elements.
    • Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.

    Innovation & Trend Research

    • Stay informed about design trends, digital innovation, and competitors’ branding approaches.
    • Propose new ideas to elevate W2A’s visual engagement and visibility.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 2–4 years\' experience in graphic design or branding (agency or in-house).
    • Strong portfolio showcasing digital design (link required).
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, etc.
    • Working knowledge of UI/UX principles is an advantage.
    • Strong sense of layout, typography, and color theory.
    • Excellent time management and ability to handle high-volume design tasks under pressure.
    • Must reside in Abuja and be available for in-person interview and design assessment.

    Bonus Skills

    • Basic video editing or motion graphics skills.
    • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
    • Experience with trade/investment or development sector branding.
