The Hotel General Manager is the “brain and leader” of the hotel, responsible for:

• Operations
• Staff
• Profit
• Guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Overall Operations Management:

• Oversees all departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Bar, Maintenance, Security).
• Ensures all units work together efficiently.

Staff Supervision & Leadership:

• Recruits, trains, and supervises staff.
• Assigns duties and ensures discipline.
• Builds a strong and professional team culture.

Financial Management:

• Prepares and manages the hotel budget.
• Monitors revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Controls costs (utilities, food, maintenance, salaries).

Guest Satisfaction:

• Ensures high-quality customer service at all times.
• Handles major guest complaints and resolves issues quickly.
• Maintains the hotel’s reputation.

Sales & Business Development:

• Promotes the hotel to attract more guests.
• Works on occupancy levels and pricing strategies.
• Builds relationships with corporate clients and agents.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensures the hotel meets government regulations (health, fire, licensing).
• Maintains hygiene and safety standards.

Maintenance & Facility Management:

• Ensures all equipment and facilities are in good condition.
• Approves repairs and upgrades when needed.

Reporting to Owners/Management:

• Provides regular reports on performance.
• Advises on improvements and expansion.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess relevant qualification with experience.

Benefits

• Salary: N350,000 - N400,000 / month
