    Head of Sales

    Responsibilities 

    Sales Strategy and Planning: 

    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business goals and  revenue targets. 
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities. 
    • Create sales plans and forecasts, setting short-term and long-term sales targets. 

    Team Leadership and Development: 

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team. 
    • Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure team  effectiveness. 
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the sales team. 

    Customer Relationship Management: 

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. 
    • Oversee the development and execution of customer retention strategies. 
    • Address customer issues and resolve conflicts to ensure customer satisfaction. 

    Sales Operations and Performance Monitoring: 

    • Monitor sales metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement. 
    • Implement and manage sales tools and CRM systems to streamline sales processes. 
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management. 

    Market Expansion and Business Development: 

    • Identify and pursue new market segments and opportunities for business growth. 
    • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances. 
    • Lead negotiations and closing of significant sales deals and contracts. 

    Budget Management: 

    • Develop and manage the sales department budget. 
    • Ensure efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales targets. 
    • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: 
    • Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and 
    • customer service, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives. 
    • Represent the sales department in cross-functional meetings and projects. 

    Academic Qualification & Experience  

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s  degree is an advantage. 
    • Proven experience (7+ years) in sales management or a similar leadership role. 
    • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. 
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills. 
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools. 
    • Knowledge of the engineering and procurement industry is a plus.
