    Regional Sales Manager (Agro products)

    Details:

    Our client, an FMCG organisation with operations across Nigeria in the Agro-allied, Crop protection and Soap & Chemicals manufacturing, is urgently seeking to engage a result-driven Regional Sales Manager for its Agro-allied subsidiary.

    Duties

    • Plan and achieve sales targets and collections as per the budget, marketing guidelines and with minimum sales return.
    • Strategize, plan and execute market development activities to generate demand for company's products and achieve business targets.
    • Set timelines, coordinate and regularly track plan against achievement. 
    • Identify and leverage new markets, avenues and segments for business growth by strategically targeting competition
    • Drive advance collections through effective communication and execution of commercial schemes.
    • Oversee and manage key distributor and retailer accounts to generate maximum business with customers.
    • Partner with the marketing team in the market development activities like product demonstrations, retailer meetings, etc.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of product demonstrations.
    • Engage trade to manage / set up a distribution channel which sustainably invests, promotes and spreads company's products.
    • Continuously review the same on performance and act by realignment as per business needs. 
    • Monitor existing and new products on various parameters in field, analyse customer's feedback on the product and update company on the feedback on product fit to the geography.
    • Lead, motivate and drive team performance.
    • Act as support and guide for direct reports, including the coordination of reports and data analysis.

    Requirements

    • BSc/HND in any field
    • 7+ years of sales experience, preferably in the Agro-allied or FMCG industry

    Job Summary

    Our ideal candidate will be an objective, highly skilled Internal Auditor. S/he will add value and optimize the organisation's operations through systematic and disciplined approach to maximizing the effectiveness of the risk management, control, and governance processes.

    Duties

    • Proven ability to perform and control the full audit cycle.
    • Ability to oversee risk management and control management to maximize operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance.
    • Strong sense of commitment to compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
    • Assessment skills needed to determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans.
    • Collaborative and organizational skills needed to obtain, analyze, and evaluate necessary accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills needed to present reports that reflect audit’s results and document the process.
    • Accessibility and willingness to act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and achievement of goals.
    • Keen sense for details including ability to identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings strategies.
    • Willingness to maintain open communication with management and audit committee.
    • Excellent written skills including ability to document processes and prepare audit findings.
    • Focus and follow-through needed to conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions.
    • Eagerness to engage in continued learning and skills development regarding sector rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.
    • Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc.
    • Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
    • Conduct surprise checks and report on the various activities
    • Identify control / procedural variances and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
    • Prepare and submit monthly report on the activities carried out
    • Perform any other duties assigned.

    Key Requirements

    • BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, and/or a highly numerate discipline
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the FMCG industry
    • Chartered Accountant (i.e. ACA or ACCA)
    • Very strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Advanced computer skills including MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
    • Ability to consistently and accurately manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed, clear reports.
    • Proven working knowledge of all applicable auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and industry regulations.
    • High degree of aptitude regarding attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
    • Willingness to demonstrate leadership skills and make sound independent judgements.

    Job Summary

    Our ideal candidate will be able to prepare, compute, manage, research and analyze all accounting data, in order to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity and cash flows of our business.

    Duties

    • Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles
    • Prepare budget and financial forecasts
    • Publish financial statements in time
    • Conduct month-end and year-end close process
    • Collect, analyze and summarize account information
    • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc
    • Develop periodic reports for management
    • Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
    • Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups
    • Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation

    Requirements

    • BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, and/or a highly numerate discipline
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the FMCG industry
    • Chartered Accountant (i.e. ACA or ACCA)

    • Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
    • Proficient in the use of at least one accounting ERP software (i.e. Tally, SAP, Sage, etc.)
    • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
    • Postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a highly numerate field will be an added advantage
