    Monitoring,Evaluation And Research Officer

    DESCRIPTION

    Summary

    • The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will work closely with Programs Manager, Government officials, Donor organizations, Grantees, and Comms lead in the delivery of key tasks.

    Key Task and Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage the organizational management information system to help document and capture organizational achievements
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans for projects including tools
    • Support the implementation of evaluation studies for assessing organizational progress and achievement
    • Strengthen capacity and provide technical support to the project staff for adequate monitoring and evaluation of project activities
    • Provide technical support and participate in all research activities conducted by the organization
    • Coordinate the development of the organizations M&E
    • Develop organizational annual M&E report that tracks progress in achieving the organizations strategic targets
    • Manage the state donor and organizational reporting obligations by ensuring timely reporting and completion of weekly, monthly and quarterly program reports.
    • Revising data reporting templates and indicators as needed
    • Contribute to the development of the organizations annual report
    • Support the organization in the planning and execution of strategic planning, annual work plan and budgeting processes
    • Assist with other organizational activities as may be required. Support other program related activities

    SKILLS

    Functional Competencies:

    • Organises and accurately completes multiple tasks by establishing priorities while taking into consideration special assignments, frequent interruptions, deadlines, available resources and multiple reporting relationships
    • Plans, coordinates and organizes workload while remaining aware of changing priorities and competing deadlines
    • Establishes, builds and maintains effective working relationships with stakeholders to facilitate the provision of support
    • Excellent communication skills (written and oral): Sensitivity to and responsiveness to all partners, respectful and helpful relations with donors and staff.
    • Understanding of local and international development issues.
    • Experience from working with in an NGO.
    • Good understanding of programme design, theory of change functions and logical frameworks, including links between objectives, indicators, targets and activities.
    • Extensive experience of supporting M&E strategies and systems, and writing reports.
    • Experience from data gathering and analysis.
    • Excellent writing skills.
    • Experience with archiving systems and knowledge management.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATION(S)

    Education

    • University Degree preferably in Computer science, Statistics, Economics, Public health or related field.
    • Masters degree is a plus.

    Other

    • 3 years of experience in MEL operations preferably in an NGO environment;
    • Expertise in gathering, analyzing and presenting data Strong training & facilitation skills.
    • Completion of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program

    Marketing / Communications Intern

    • The Marketing intern will be working closely with a marketing manager who will provide you with real hands-on projects and daily tasks that use social media platforms to promote and manage N SSF brand image.

    Job Requirement

    • Create and grow social media presence/profiles
    • Moderate comments across social media profiles
    • Utilize social media profiles to campaign events
    • Maintain, post and, update social media profiles such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn,
    • Instagram, and Snapchat with appropriate and appealing content Assist with social media analytics and reporting
    • Assist in loading/producing stories/creating social media graphics
    • Help develop strategies for capturing target audience and current customer engagement Other duties as assigned

    SKILLS

    • Proficiency in English
    • A marketer at heart: Excellent oral communication and copywriting skills with an eye for design and the ability to pitch NSSF, meet new donors and partners, sell our organization, engage social influencers etc.
    • Advanced knowledge of popular social media platforms from a brand perspective
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to project prioritize and meet deadline
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Highly organized

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATION(S)

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree
