    Project and Program Associate

    Responsibilities
    Project Management:

    • Lead and manage multiple complex projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery within scope and time.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
    • Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.

    Client Engagement:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Conduct regular status meetings with clients and stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns.
    • Collaborate with clients to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.

    Collaboration:

    • Manage resource allocation and workload distribution to optimize team performance.
    • Work closely with technical teams to ensure that solutions are implemented according to client specifications and agreed design.

    Risk Management:

    • Proactively address issues and challenges that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution.

    Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare and present project status reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics, to stakeholders and senior management.
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, and change requests.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
    • Candidates with PMP certification would be at an advantage.
    • Fluency in written and verbal English is required.

    Data Center Critical Facilities Officer III

    Job Summary

    • Applies acquired job skills to work on tasks that are semi-routine in nature. 
    • Focus is on semi-routine tasks within standard operating procedures. Supports the overall team.

    Responsibilities
    Facility/Infrastructure Maintenance:

    • Performs semi-routine preventative maintence checks on-site to non-critical, facility components.Performs semi-routine repairs, maintenance and installations to non-critical facility components
    • Monitors the Builiding Monitoring System (BMS) and responds timely to semi-routine alarms according to standard operating procedures
    • Assists more senior staff in higher facility repairs and corrective maintenance measures
    • Operates plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems, under the supervision of more senior technical staff
    • Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments

    Vendor Support:

    • Coordinates with vendors to ensure maintenance activities are carried out as per Equinix's requirements
    • Supports the work order approval process for service providers on routine maintenance work, for tracking: briefing at the start of work, work during the day workday/shift and final review of the work carried out
    • Ensures vendor maintenance activities are carried out as per Equinix's standard operating procedures

    Site Administration & Incident Support:

    • Performs semi-routine site logs for permits, such as Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOPs) and scripts
    • Uses acquired job skills in following operating procedures to support on-site administration

    Work Orders & Additional Projects:

    • Completes semi-routine work requests and circuit installations
    • Follows established procedures with troubleshooting and maintaining office equipment (if necessary); supports auxiliary equipment and machines
    • Assists more senior staff with responding on-site incidents and acts as directed

    Collaboration

    • Collaborates with others to resolve semi-routine facility incidents
    • Provides assistance to more senior staff on infrastructure projects
    • Informs stakeholders of inventory needs to maintain stock levels of parts and equipment.

    Data Center Customer Operations Officer IV

    Job Summary

    • Has a substantial understanding of the job while working on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgement in resolving issues or making recommendations. 
    • Focus is on moderately difficult tasks, using substantial understanding of standard operating procedure. Supports the overall team.

    Responsibilities
    Queue Management / Reporting:

    • Reviews work orders in the queue and works on moderately difficult requests by adhering to commitment times
    • Supports cross-functional teams to collaborate on customer tickets
    • Ensures any necessary reporting is complete and accurate; supports ad-hoc reporting requests
    • Actively provides input and makes recommendations to processes
    • Maintains detailed written records of all work activity
    • Updates local asset databases and other systems

    Installations:

    • Handles moderately difficult rack and stack customer equipment tickets
    • Able to read moderately difficult installation spreadsheet plans and supports implementing installations accordingly
    • Supports the installation of moderately difficult installs, which may include: overhead cable trays, cage mesh, cabinets, and cable management/support systems; circuits for fiber terminations; cable distribution trays, cabinets, and cable management/support systems; and performs tape changes and back-up necessities
    • Recognizes and raises capacity concerns for infrastructure expansions needs and cabling where needed
    • Performs quality checks on both cross-connects and on-site support tickets and recommends improvements

    Cross-Connect:

    • Supports moderately difficult datacenter cross-connect work, requiring substantial understanding of operating procedures for: installs, terminations, modifications, and testing
    • Installs and tests moderately difficult cross-connect circuits, which may include: switched, multiplexed, etc.

    Testing / Troubleshooting:

    • Supports moderately difficult operating testing of layer 1, 2 and 3 cross-connect certification testing
    • Supports the troubleshooting of moderly difficult circuits (i.e., switched, multiplexed, etc.)
    • Escalates more advanced circuits and supports as needed
    • Works with customers to troubleshoot issues and uses experience gained to recommend solutions

    Stakeholder Partnership:

    • Monitors stock levels and proactively addresses needs for materials with proper teams
    • Provides escalated work order support, and supports dispatch of alarms
    • May provide back-up support to security personnel, if needed

    Customer Management:

    • Supports customer satisfaction through timely and precise order execution
    • Delivers a high level of service and an excellent customer experience when interfacing with customers.
    • Provides support with time expectations on new deployments and existing alterations
    • Supports customers on-site by through access control and escorting services
    • Point of Contact (POC) for supporting moderately difficult customer requests, exceptions or escalations

    Projects:

    • Supports and partners with team members on projects as directed
    • Coordinates vendors for various IBX related projects
    • Performs quality assurance on new customer installation or deployments

    Training:

    • Completes all assigned training in a timely manner
    • May provide guidance and support to more junior team members and new hires

    Tax Senior Analyst

    Job Summary

    • The Senior Tax Analyst prepares tax returns and work papers with minimal supervision and provides assistance to other team members on various projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Corporate tax compliance – Assist with data accumulation required for the preparation of the corporate income tax returns and all related filings, where not prepared in-house, to ensure their accurate and timely submission; assist with the preparation and maintenance of all supporting workpapers and calculations such as Tax Fixed Asset Registers, Corporate Interest Restriction and Thin Capitalisation calculations; assist with the calculation and monitoring of tax payments and preparation of the cash tax forecast; assisting with local Tax Authorities enquiries. Ensure local Tax Legislation is complied with, and processes are updated as required
    • US Group Reporting – Assist with the preparation of the EMEA Tax Package for quarter-end reporting and forecasting purposes, including current and deferred tax provisioning for US GAAP requirements, preparation of tax account reconciliations. Working with US Tax team and our external auditors
    • Local GAAP Reporting – Assist with the preparation of the local tax accounting calculations with supporting workpapers, for inclusion in the local GAAP statutory accounts, including current and deferred taxes and any prior year adjustments. Working with local advisors and external auditors as required
    • Withholding taxes – Assist with the fulfilment of withholding tax compliance and reporting obligations
    • Project work – Providing support on corporate tax projects (i.e. Tax Depreciation planning, thin capitalization analysis and planning; tax automation projects; improving reporting/compliance processes; assisting in the integration of acquired entities into the existing Equinix processes;)
    • Work closely with other departments to gather information and assist in requests
    • Continued Education - continues to develop and apply technical expertise and stay current on tax issues
    • Any other duties as assigned as part of this job role

    Qualifications

    • Proven years of progressive working experience with BIG 4 and/or corporate tax department is preferred
    • Experience with financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation preferred
    • CPA/Chartered Accountant/Equivalent certification preferred
    • Extensive experience in EMEA corporate income tax compliance preferred
    • Sufficient knowledge of Corporate income tax laws and regulations related to multi-national corporations
    • Demonstrated technical strength and knowledge related to Corporate Income tax accounting and Corporate Income tax reporting
    • Self-starter with strong accounting, analytical, time management and project management skills
    • Ability to recognize, understand, and analyze complex issues with excellent communication and writing skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organization
    • Must be well-organized, hands-on, detail-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proficient computer skills including strong working knowledge of Excel required and Oracle ERP/EPM Cloud systems
    • French language skills will be an added advantage.
