    Digital Marketing and Social Media Officer

    Job Summary

    • Digital Marketing & social media Officer is responsible for maintaining Gaby Lagos’s brand online presence and sales by working on various marketing campaigns in line with the strategy.
    • Duties include conducting wide research, strategizing with the team, creating content for successful campaigns, managing Gaby Lagos's social media accounts, contributing to the development of social media strategies and policies, taking the lead in its implementation; developing and implementing social media guidelines, systems, procedures and tools; and provides expert reporting, analytics, and advice to increase visibility, awareness, understanding, and support for Gaby Lagos’s vision, corporate objectives, events, other activities, and programs.

    Reporting Line

    • Reporting to the F & B Manager with dotted lines to the General Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Build and execute social media strategy through comprehensive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification and data gathering.
    • Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that build meaningful connections and engagement that encourages and results in the audience taking action.
    • Set up and/or optimize Gaby Lagos’s social media pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
    • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy.
    • Create editorials, Monthly content calendars in advance as well as syndication schedules
    • Continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then acting on the information.
    • Collaborate with F& B Coordinator, Exec Chef and GM to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions.

    Education, Skills and Experiences

    • BA(Hons) or BSc (Hons) in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, Public Relations or related field.
    • Proven work experience in social media management and as a Digital Marketer
    • Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
    • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
    • Adequate knowledge of web analytics, Google analytics web, CRO, PPC and SEO.
    • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channel
    • Positive attitude, detail, and customer oriented with good multitasking and organisational ability
    • Excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics
    • Aptitude in decision-making and solution-driven

    Reporting & Deliverables

    • Monthly Content Calendar.
    • Monthly review of Average Engagement Rate from all social media pages and Website.
    • Monthly Conversion rates for website clicks, events registration etc
    • Monthly reports on Cost per Click on Ads and sponsored posts.

    Membership & Programmes Admin

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Membership and Programmes Admin at our Private Business Club dedicated to empowering women leaders.
    • This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in programme development, event coordination, and member engagement.
    • The post-holder will support the Membership & Programmes Coordinator in designing, implementing, and overseeing programmes that align with the club's mission.

    Key Responsibilities
    Programme Development Support:

    • Assist in researching and identifying themes for club programmes.
    • Support the Programmes Coordinator to set programme goals.
    • Support the design of innovative programmes for education, networking, and mentoring.
    • Help develop and maintain a comprehensive annual programme calendar.

    Programme Management Support:

    • Assist with coordinating logistics, venue selection, and budgeting for club programmes.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of programmes.
    • Assist with developing and maintaining the speaker database to serve as a point of contact for programme contributors.
    • Support accurate record-keeping for programme evaluation.

    Membership Engagement Support:

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience.
    • Interest in membership /community organisation, programme coordination and event planning.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in technology platforms for programmes management and marketing.
    • Basic office computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Outlook, etc.) for business communication.
    • Knowledge of women's leadership development programmes and industry trends is a plus.

    Sous Chef

    The Role

    • Lead, supervise and motivate the culinary and kitchen staff to deliver high standard of food preparation and service.
    • Expediting, cooking and preparing high quality dishes
    • Supervising all kitchen stations
    • Supervising, motivating and working closely with Head Chef, Chef De Partie, Line Cooks and Kitchen Assistants
    • Being responsible to ensure that the kitchen is following all health and safety requirements as required by state and federal requirements.
    • Ensuring food quality and excellent standards are maintained according to the Company’s standards and menu standards for existing menu items as well as all menu items created.
    • Assisting with food inventory, purchasing, menu creation, daily/weekly/monthly cleaning duties.
    • Assist Head Chef any other assigned duties.
    • Assist Head Chef with schedule of the kitchen team.
    • Assist Head Chef and Chef De Partie with menu creation, costing, plating standards.

    Job Summary

    • To supervise the smooth running of the kitchen on a day-to-day basis. Ensure that all meals served to guests in Gaby Lagos and GAIA AFRICA Club House meet the standards set down by the Company.
    • Ensure that all meals are made following set down recipes, to ensure that correct portions and cooking methods are adhered to and to maintain costs, plate presentation, standards and consistency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act for Head Chef when the Head Chef is not present in the kitchen.
    • Menu creation, costing of menu items and plate presentation.
    • Submit cost proposals for menu items.
    • Ensure that all food preparation is in accordance with the Company’s standards. Follow all recipe standards to ensure menu items are prepared to cost and plate presentation.
    • Design standardised food presentation guidelines for each menu item for the restaurant and all outlets.
    • Monitor inventory levels.
    • Manage waste to control costs.
    • Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly inventory is taken and recorded.
    • Assist Head Chef with Schedule for the kitchen staff to ensure that the appropriate staffing levels are maintained for the needs of Gaby Lagos and GAIA AFRICA Club House.
    • Ensure that all food preparation is done in accordance with the Company’s standards as well as all relevant State and Federal health and safety requirements.
    • Train all kitchen staff to the Company’s standards as well as all relevant State and Federal health and safety requirements.
    • Ensure all Kitchen staff adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that all requisitions for kitchen needs are submitted in a timely manner- utilising the pull and prep method.
    • Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation (FIFO).
    • Ensure that food products, presentation and plating are of the highest quality and are prepared and served in a timely manner.
    • Ensure efficient, cost-effective operations and profitable food production.
    • Ensure that kitchen staff are trained in the proper use of kitchen equipment such as; Knives, grills, ovens, fryers, etc.
    • Assist HR and Head Chef in the hiring process for new Kitchen staff as required.
    • Ensure that proper cooking and holding temperatures are met, during the cooking and cooling process.
    • Taking charge of opening/closing kitchen, and other duties as directed by the Head Chef.

    Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies

    • First Degree in any of the following: Catering/Culinary Management, Hospitality Management, Food Science and Technology, Home Economics / Nutrition or a related discipline and professional certification relevant to the role.
    • Minimum of six (6) years catering management experience.
    • Strong background in fine dining
    • Passion for food.
    • Knowledge of current food trends
    • Advanced food hygiene qualification
    • Culinary Mathematics
    • Excellent organisational and analytical skills
    • Background in events is an added advantage.

    Chef De Partie

    Purpose of Role

    • Lead, supervise and motivate the culinary and kitchen staff to deliver high standards of food preparation and service.
    • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to set standards and recipe guidelines while maintaining cost standards.
    • Supervising and training Line Cooks under your supervision during your shift.
    • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene in accordance with state and federal requirements.
    • Monitoring portion and ensuring waste control to keep within budget.
    • Helping the Head Chef and Sous Chef develop new recipes and plate presentation standards.

    Job Summary

    • To supervise your team on a day-to-day basis to deliver quality service, consistent plate presentation, consistently following recipes and portion guides. Ensure that all meals served to guests are within the stated guidelines.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver first class service to guests by ensuring each meal served is according to recipe and plate presentation.
    • Coach and train Line Cooks to become proficient in the preparation of recipes for the restaurant, and the GAIA AFRICA generally and events held in the club house.
    • To show full support to senior staff, the goals of the organisation, always working continually towards providing excellent food service for all the organisation’s operations.
    • Checking mis-en-place on quality and quantity.
    • Assist Head Chef with orders, procurements and menu creation.
    • Ensure that dishes delivered to guests are of the highest quality and are to the organisation’s standards.
    • Supervision of shift staff including; maintaining discipline, personal hygiene and appearance of staff in line with the organisation’s policies.
    • Always maintaining hygiene and sanitary standards.
    • Control waste and costs to meet department budget.
    • Ensure potion control is utilised at every step of the production process and at service point.
    • Ensure all products in all storage areas are labelled and dated, all products in all storage areas must use the FIFO-First In First Out method to ensure quality and proper rotation of all food products.
    • In conjunction with Head Chef and Sous Chef, ensure there is adequate ingredients for daily operations.
    • In the absence of the Sous Chef and or the Head Chef, you are to maintain the timely and quality service in accordance with the organisation’s standards.
    • Complete any other tasks requested by the Sous Chef or Head Chef.

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
    • Functionality of all catering facilities and equipment
    • Timeliness of meals
    • Level of external and internal satisfaction.
    • Kitchen hygiene, health and safety.
