    Primary Sales Lead

    Role Overview

    • Are you a people-first sales leader with a passion for digital tools, customer success, and team excellence? We're looking for a Primary Sales Lead to drive revenue growth, coach and manage a high-performing field sales team, and deliver real value to customers.
    • You’ll work at the frontline of our business—engaging directly with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers. Your mission: expand customer acquisition, strengthen retention, and streamline sales operations.
    • This role is perfect for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution—and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    Sales Leadership & Performance:

    • Lead, coach, and manage 8–10 Primary Sales Executives to deliver exceptional performance.
    • Achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets, conversion rates, and other sales KPIs.
    • Shorten sales cycles and increase deal velocity across territories.

    Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and wholesalers.
    • Gain deep understanding of customer procurement and working capital needs.
    • Serve as the face of OmniRetail to field customers—resolving issues, driving loyalty, and advocating their needs internally.
    • Ensure 90%+ customer retention and fulfillment of 75%+ procurement requirements.

    Process Excellence:

    • Ensure team adherence to sales playbooks and process guidelines.
    • Track and optimize sales performance through data, dashboards, and daily field reports.
    • Drive adoption of OmniRetail’s digital tools among sales executives and partners.

    Team Development & Collaboration:

    • Conduct ongoing field coaching, training, and performance feedback.
    • Promote collaboration with internal teams like marketing, product, and support to improve outcomes.
    • Inspire and lead by example—modeling strong sales behavior and customer-centricity.

    Sales Performance:

    • Revenue growth & target achievement
    • Lead-to-customer conversion rate.

    Customer Success

    • New customer acquisition rate
    • 90%+ customer retention
    • 75%+ fulfillment of procurement needs.

    What You Need to Succeed

    • Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in field sales, distribution, or channel management (FMCG/e-commerce preferred).
    • Proven team leadership experience with strong performance records.
    • Deep understanding of retail and wholesale operations in the region.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Tech-savvy: comfortable using CRM tools and mobile sales apps.
    • Strong emotional intelligence and a “lead by doing” attitude.

    Area Customer Manager

    About the Role

    • We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Area Customer Manager (ACM) to lead a high-performing team of Account Managers (AMs) across key territories in Lagos.
    • The ideal candidate will have a solid background in field sales or channel management, with hands-on experience in team leadership and customer retention.
    • This role is critical in ensuring we maintain and grow our B2B customer base through consistent field engagement, coaching, and performance monitoring.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of 5+ Account Managers.
    • Drive daily, weekly, and monthly performance of AMs to ensure 80%+ customer retention across assigned territories.
    • Review field performance dashboards, identify trends, and deploy interventions to boost customer engagement and retention.
    • Provide hands-on coaching, support, and leadership to ensure each AM meets performance expectations.
    • Act as a bridge between the field team and senior management, providing real-time feedback and insights.
    • Track and report retained active and KYCed customers as a core KPI.

    Key Metric

    • Customer Retention: Number of retained active + KYCed customers managed by Account Managers under your supervision.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or any relevant field.
    • 2 – 3 years of proven experience in field sales, territory/channel management, or similar roles.
    • Past experience leading a field team of at least 5+ members.
    • Experience working in FMCG, consumer tech, or retail-tech industries is highly preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in performance-driven environments with clearly defined KPIs.
    • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
    • Familiarity with CRM and performance tracking tools is an added advantage.
