General Objective / Summary

• The Information Technology Officer supports the Logistics Coordinator and the Deputy Logics Coordinator in activities linked to, IT according to PUI standards and procedures in order to adequately meet the I.T needs of the various bases on the mission.
• He / She works under direct supervision of the Deputy Logistics Coordinator. S/He manages the IT Assistant.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Software and Mission SharePoint Management:

• Manages the installation of Software on mission’s computers e.g anti-virus, Office Suite and all other software for the mission
• Keeps license codes and uses them accountably on the mission’s computers.
• Recommends the purchase and use of Software to the Deputy Logistics coordinator and the Logistics Coordinator
• Resolve all staff issues regarding software on mission computer systems
• Provides guidance and training to staff on the use of new software
• Setup and manage a mission-wide database/SharePoint
• Make sure synchronous backup of all mission’s laptops are done and working well to OneDrive.
• Ensures all department utilize digital archiving site for the mission.

Management, maintenance and repairs of IT and communication equipment:

• Supports the IT Assistant in facilitating the repair of faulty I.T equipment such as laptops, printers, scanners, etc.
• Ensure the availability and installation of quality toners for the mission’s printers
• Supports the IT Assistant in facilitating the repair of radio and communication devices across bases
• Provides guidance/training to staff on use of I.T and communication equipment to avoid damage
• Ensures that laptops, phones and IT assets are issued according to the mission equipment allocation standards.
• Ensure proper use of mission’s radio communication devises.
• Collates I.T needs and communicates to the Deputy Logistics Coordinator and the Logistics Coordinator
• Communicates the need for purchase of new Satellite credit to the Logistics Coordinator
• Ensures that the communication equipment in safe rooms are functional at all time.
• Maintains a physical inventory of mission’s IT equipment
• Raises Purchase Requests for IT material needs

Email creation request and installation facilitation: 

• Ensures the timely creation of Email address for staff when requested
• Manages the password database for emails on the mission
• Manages installation, removal and any other related issues relating to emails
• Assists new staff in the installation of email signatures and facilitate the uniformity of email signatures according to PUI standards and guidelines.

 Payment and renewal of internet and communication subscription:

• Follow-up and update communication credit for the whole mission
• Configuration of mission contact list on mobile phones
• Monitor internet consumption, make recommendations on internet use, restrictions and facilitate the timely renewal of internet subscription
• Liaise with the internet service provider in case of any problems or inadequacies on the internet across all PUI bases.

Asset management:

• Support the Deputy Logistics Coordinator with technical specification during Procurement of IT hardware, software, and related assets in compliance with organizational policies.
• Verify specifications, quality, and warranty coverage of newly acquired IT assets.
• Maintain and regularly update the IT asset register, including serial numbers, specifications, and assigned users.
• Tag and label all IT assets for proper identification and tracking.
• Deploy, configure, and document new IT assets for end-users.
• Track asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, ensuring timely upgrades or replacements.
• Manage warranties, service agreements, and license renewals for all IT assets.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance of IT equipment.
• Ensure compliance with software licensing requirements and IT asset policies.
• Implement security measures for IT assets, including encryption and access control.
• Train staff on proper use, care, and security of IT assets

Documentation and reporting:

• Maintains accurate record of all mission’s I.T and communication equipment
• Shares reports to the Deputy Logistics coordinator on a monthly basis
• Archives and centralizes logistics files related to I.T and communication
• Maintains good record of mission’s passwords and ensures utmost integrity and accountability in the use of PUI software licenses.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc / M.Sc Degree with 3 - 10 years of work experience.

General Objective / Summary

• The Deputy Sexual Reproductive Health Advisor provides technical support to PUI Health facilities, to build capacity of Health Staff and improve quality of Sexual Reproductive Health activities.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Support & Advise on SRH Activities:

• Ensure Sexual Reproductive health services are in line with PUI health policy and align with established national guidelines, with internationally accepted standards
• In Collaboration with SRH Advisor and medical coordinator, work along with the program manager and other health staff, to provide technical support to implement best practices of care; and monitor the quality of SRH services in the health facilities and outreach posts
• Regularly conduct field visits to the health facilities to assess the quality of services and activity implementation
• Provide onsite technical support ( hands on training), facility and outreach staff
• Ensure adherence to established SRH Protocols in the fields based on national guidelines and international standards
• Recommend and advise on adequate supply of drugs, medical supplies, equipment’s, to ensure quality delivery of services in the facilities
• Advise and strengthen referral process, decision making for obstetric emergencies

Training & Capacity Development:

• Provide training in collaboration with sexual reproductive health advisor, health program manager as per identified health needs
• Play a central role building capacity of local field staff (PUI and MOH) in areas, related to training, to ensure standard in the health facilities is maintained
• Provide formal training for SRH team on core areas (BEmONC, FP, CMR, IMCI, Dignified Maternity care etc.)

Reporting / Internal & External Representation:

• Respect and follow administrative procedures related to deputy sexual reproductive health advisors role and responsibilities
• Represent the organization in SRH sector meetings with partners and local stakeholders with regular participation and other events as required.

Priorities of the Department:

• Conduct regular field visits to the health facilities to assess the quality of services and activity implementation
• Provide onsite technical support (hands-on training), facility and outreach staff
• Ensure adherence to established SRH Protocols in the fields based on national guidelines and international standards
• Proven practical experience in SRH activities and the ability to make decisions independently
• Recommend and advise on adequate supply of drugs, medical supplies, equipment, to ensure quality delivery of services in the facilities.
• Advise and strengthen the referral process, decision-making for obstetric emergencies
• Provide formal training for the SRH team on core areas (BEmONC, FP, Dignified Maternity care etc.)
