    Procurement Officer

    Job Description
    The selected candidate for the role of procurement officer will be responsible for:

    • Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
    • To source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors.
    • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
    • Create new and review any existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensureongoingfeasibility.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
    • Approve purchase orders,andorganize and confirm delivery of goods and services.
    • Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
    • Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-termsavingson procurement costs.
    • Oversee and manage IT systems that track inventories, deliveries and supply of goods.
    • Prepare procurement reports.
    • Expect unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
    • Investigate and resolve issues regarding to low standard, low quality or damaged goods delivered from suppliers.
    • Develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses, damages to goods and goods shortages.
    • To be involved in the reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the system.
    • To ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and to be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing and unpacking
    • Reporting to the suppliers or vendors any discrepancies between physical counts and purchase orders at the earliest.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess Bachelor's Degrees with 3 - 4 years relevant work experience.
