    Student Placement & Career Success Officer (HR/Recruiter Experience)

    Role Overview

    • The Student Placement Officer is responsible for ensuring that our "job-ready" graduates secure internships or permanent roles. You will oversee the end-to-end placement lifecycle, from career prep workshops to post-internship evaluations.
    • Applicants for the post should be able to demonstrate experience of working in a role related to the provision of work experience, placements and recruitment; have good labor market knowledge; experience of business and student engagement; and a good understanding of the issues related to students and graduates seeking work experience / employment.

    Qualifications

    • Partnership Development: Actively seek and sign new corporate partners, start-ups, and tech firms to join Torilo’s hiring network.
    • Career Readiness Coaching: Conduct workshops on technical CV writing, LinkedIn branding, and portfolio presentation tailored to specific tracks
    • Mock Interviews: Coordinate and lead mock interview sessions, providing students with feedback on both behavioral and technical communication.
    • Placement Tracking: Maintain and update the Academy’s placement database, tracking employment rates and average salary packages to report on the Academy’s ROI.
    • Industry Events: Organize monthly "Hiring Days" and "Guest Speaker Series" where students can pitch their projects to potential employers.
    • Placement Compliance: Coordinate the signing of NDAs, background checks, and access protocols (especially for sensitive Cybersecurity roles).
    • The "Traineeship" Liaison: Manage the placement of students into Torilo’s intensive 1-year traineeship programs, ensuring they meet the high standards of our internal tech teams.
    • Recruitment: Assist in recruitment related matters for the HR department.

    Job Requirements & Qualifications

    • You have at least two to five years of work experience
    • Must have a minimum of OND

    Required Skills

    • Experience: 3+ years in Recruitment, HR, or Career Services (Tech/EdTech experience is a massive plus).
    • Knowledge: A foundational understanding of the tech landscape is desirable.
    • Communication: Elite networking skills. You can talk to a nervous student and a CEO in the same hour. Exceptional public speaking and persuasive writing skills.
    • Organization: Ability to manage multiple "cohorts" of students at different stages of their job search.
