• A Hotel Porter (also called a Bellboy/Bell Attendant) is responsible for assisting guests with their luggage and ensuring they have a smooth arrival and departure experience.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly on arrival
• Open doors and assist guests entering or leaving the hotel
• Escort guests to their rooms when required
• Carry guests’ luggage to and from their rooms
• Handle bags carefully to avoid damage
• Store luggage safely for early arrivals or late departures
• Show guests how to use room facilities (AC, TV, lights, Wi-Fi, etc.)
• Inform guests about hotel services (restaurant, bar, gym, pool, breakfast time)
• Maintain cleanliness of the hotel entrance and lobby area
• Manage trolleys and luggage carts
• Assist with valet parking or directing vehicles (where applicable)
• Run errands for guests (delivering messages, parcels, room items)
• Respond quickly to guest requests
• Provide directions and local information when asked
• Monitor people coming in and out of the hotel
• Report suspicious activities to security or management

Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy luggage
• Able to stand and walk for long periods
