    Supermarket Manager

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a experienced and results-driven Supermarket manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring efficient store performance, excellent customer service, achievement of sales targets, effective staff supervision, and compliance with company policies and operational standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and operational management experience, with the ability to coordinate retail activities while overseeing kitchen food production, bakery, and restaurant operations to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and an exceptional customer experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    Store Operations

    • Oversee the overall daily operations of the supermarket.
    • Ensure smooth opening and closing of the store.
    • Ensure the supermarket environment remains clean, organized, and customer-friendly.

    Staff Management

    • Supervise, coordinate, and manage employees across departments.
    • Prepare staff schedules and allocate duties effectively.
    • Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and performance.
    • Conduct staff briefings and ensure adherence to company policies.
    • Identify training needs and support staff development.

    Sales and Business Performance

    • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
    • Monitor kitchen food production, bakery operations, and restaurant.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue and profitability.
    • Ensure achievement of sales targets and operational goals.
    • Analyze reports and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

    Inventory and Stock Control

    • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
    • Ensure proper inventory management and minimize stock loss.
    • Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Ensure products are properly displayed and merchandised.

    Customer Service

    • Maintain high standards of customer experience and service delivery.
    • Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
    • Build and maintain positive customer relationships.

    Financial and Administrative Control

    • Oversee cash handling and store financial accountability.
    • Monitor expenses and support cost-control measures.
    • Prepare operational and performance reports for Management.
    • Compliance and Security
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Enforce health, safety, and security standards.
    • Protect company assets and maintain operational discipline.

    • Sales growth

    • Inventory accuracy

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in supermarket, retail, or Hospitality management.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
    • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems.
