    Learning and Development Specialist

    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a Learning and Development Consultant at Jake Riley in Abuja. The consultant will be responsible for training and development, learning management, instructional design, and consulting to improve client performance and address challenges.

    • Partner with leadership and HR teams to assess the learning needs of employees at all levels, ensuring alignment with business goals.
    • Develop and implement a learning strategy that supports organizational objectives and workforce development, driving business success.
    • Ensure L&D initiatives align with key organizational objectives such as performance improvement, leadership development, and succession planning.
    • Design and develop customized training programs, workshops, and learning materials to meet the specific needs of the organization.
    • Utilize a variety of training delivery methods, including in-person, virtual, and blended learning formats, to maximize engagement and effectiveness.
    • Facilitate training sessions and workshops, providing interactive and impactful learning experiences that drive employee development.
    • Offer coaching and mentoring to employees, enhancing their skills and supporting their professional growth.
    • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in employee skills and competencies, ensuring continuous development.
    • Evaluate the impact of L&D programs on employee performance, engagement, and business outcomes, reporting on effectiveness and suggesting optimizations.
    • Work closely with HR teams, department heads, and senior leaders to ensure L&D initiatives meet departmental needs and organizational goals.
    • Build relationships with external training providers, consultants, and industry experts to enhance internal capabilities and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
    • Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other digital tools to deliver, track, and measure training programs effectively.
    • Actively promote JR Academy and assist in its setup, ensuring it becomes a cornerstone of the organization's learning and development efforts.
    • Keep up with the latest trends in learning technologies and incorporate them into the learning strategy to maintain a competitive edge.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
    • Certifications in L&D, CMD, CIPM etc
    • Experience with e-learning platforms and content development tools
    • Proven experience in learning and development, instructional design, or HR consulting.
    • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and learning technologies.
    • Ability to leverage L&D strategies to support sales goals and drive revenue growth.
    • Ability to develop strong relationships with business leaders, understanding their needs and delivering tailored L&D solutions that add value.
    • Ability to stay informed about industry trends and best practices to provide innovative and competitive L&D solutions.
    • Ability to use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of L&D initiatives and continuously improve strategies.
