    Human Resources Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Human Resources Manager will lead the design, implementation, and management of people strategies that support KCTC’s mission of excellence in healthcare.
    • This role is responsible for building a high-performing, motivated workforce by overseeing recruitment, training, employee engagement, and performance management.
    • By aligning with international healthcare HR practices, the HR Manager ensures that KCTC remains a progressive, compliant, and attractive employer while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to healthcare delivery and aligned with international best practices.
    • Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding of clinical, technical, and administrative staff to attract and retain top talent.
    • Oversee performance management systems, including appraisals, KPIs, and career development pathways.
    • Coordinate staff training, continuing education, and professional development, ensuring compliance with global healthcare HR standards.
    • Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes fairly, consistently, and transparently.
    • Ensure compliance with Nigerian statutory requirements while embedding global best practices in working conditions, fairness, and employee well-being.
    • Design and implement compensation, benefits, and reward systems that are competitive and supportive of staff welfare.
    • Partner with leadership to plan workforce needs, succession strategies, and organizational culture development.
    • Lead HR reporting, audits, and workforce analytics to inform management decisions.
    • Serve as a trusted adviser to management and staff on HR and workforce-related matters.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
    • Master’s degree and/or HR certifications (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of healthcare workforce regulations, talent management, and HR best practices.
    • Minimum of 5–7 years progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
    • Experience in healthcare or large service organizations is highly desirable.
    • Proven track record in recruitment, performance management, and organizational development.

    • Strong leadership and people management abilities.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive issues.
    • Proficiency in HRIS, payroll systems, and workforce planning tools.
    • Strategic thinking with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Integrity, confidentiality, and ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to balance compliance with innovative HR practices in healthcare.
