    Business Development Officer/Sales Manager

    Role Description

    • This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Officer 3 (BDO 3) / Sales Manager, based in Elegushi and Isolo, Lagos, Nigeria.
    • The BDO 3 / Sales Manager will be responsible for driving high-value sales, expanding strategic accounts, and leading a sales team to consistently achieve performance targets. The role combines hands-on selling with leadership, coaching, and performance management responsibilities. Daily activities include identifying growth opportunities, developing sales strategies, monitoring team performance, negotiating key deals, and ensuring excellent customer experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
    • Lead, coach, and motivate a sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
    • Set clear sales objectives, monitor KPIs, and track team performance against targets.
    • Conduct high-impact sales presentations and product demonstrations to key clients.
    • Develop and manage strategic client relationships to ensure long-term retention and repeat business.
    • Support team members in negotiations, deal structuring, and closing high-value accounts.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine sales strategies.
    • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews for management.
    • Ensure accurate documentation of sales activities, pipelines, and client interactions using CRM or tracking tools.
    • Uphold a results-driven culture with strong discipline, accountability, and professionalism.

    What We Are Looking For

    • 5–8 years of proven experience in sales or business development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
    • Strong background in FMCG, automotive solutions, chemicals, or related industries.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive team performance and exceed sales targets.
    • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work extended hours when required to meet business objectives.
    • Experience in maintenance products or automotive-adjacent sales is a strong advantage.
