    Business Development and Fleet Manager

Work Setup: Remote, with occasional in-person meetings
Contract: Full-time, 1-year contract, with possibility of extension based on performance

As we prepare for pilot rollout, we are seeking a Business Development and Fleet Manager to help build early traction, secure partnerships and support the deployment of our solution from pilot to scale.

    Role Overview

The Business Development and Fleet Manager will lead early market traction efforts by building partnerships, recruiting facilitator operators and supporting the rollout of Eablenex pilot deployments.

This role sits at the intersection of business development, partnerships, market activation and operational execution, ensuring early market interest translates into real deployments and measurable traction.

You will work closely with the founding team to help build Eablenex’s early commercial traction and facilitator network from the ground up.

We are looking for someone who is excited about building systems, partnerships and market presence in the early stages of a startup, and who wants to play an active role in shaping a company that is poised to scale. For the right person, this is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the startup ecosystem, while contributing to the future of clean energy in Nigeria.

    Key Responsibilities

    Presales and Market Development

    • Build and manage a pipeline of potential GooShare facilitators and FlexPower partners
    • Identify and engage small businesses, property owners and community operators interested in becoming facilitators
    • Present the Eablenex model and convert early interest into pilot deployments
    • Drive growth of the Eablenex waitlist and convert interest into active participation

    Facilitator Network Development

    • Recruit and onboard GooShare facilitators
    • Support facilitators in preparing for battery deployment
    • Build strong relationships with early network operators
    • Ensure facilitator readiness for pilot deployment
    • Map out housing estates and market clusters for fleet deployment rollout
    • Secure partnerships with housing estates and market clusters management

    FlexPower Partnerships

    • Engage companies and institutions interested in FlexPower participation
    • Secure partnerships with organisations interested in providing energy solutions for their workforce
    • Support the launch of initial FlexPower deployments
    • Manage relationships with partner organisations

    Pilot Deployment and Network Operations

    • Coordinate rollout of early battery fleet deployments
    • Support operational readiness of pilot locations
    • Capture insights from early deployments and user feedback
    • Help refine rollout processes as the network expands

    Market Activation and Campaigns

    • Support outreach initiatives and local engagement campaigns
    • Mobilise and coordinate ground teams to support awareness campaigns and waitlist signups
    • Help coordinate community engagement and partnership outreach
    • Represent Eablenex at expos and conferences.

Digital Tools and Sales Workflow Proficiency

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with digital tools and modern sales workflows, including:

    • Google Drive and collaborative document tools
    • MS Office Suite Tools (Word, Excel, etc)
    • Microsoft Teams or similar communication platforms
    • CRM systems and pipeline management
    • Calendar scheduling and meeting coordination tools
    • LinkedIn and email marketing outreach and other digital prospecting channels
    • Cold calling and email outreach

    You should also be comfortable:

    • Preparing sales pitch decks and information packs
    • Delivering presentations and partnership pitches
    • Coordinating both digital and on-ground outreach campaigns

    Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who has a startup mindset, is self-driven, resourceful and execution-focused.

    The ideal candidate:

    • Has experience in business development, partnerships or field sales
    • Understands marketing and sales tactics
    • Is comfortable conducting cold outreach and proactive engagement
    • Is self-driven and able to manage their work independently
    • Has strong problem-solving ability and a can-do mindset, able to brainstorm solutions rather than getting stuck on challenges
    • Is creative and able to identify opportunities for growth
    • Is comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment
    • Can take initiative and turn ideas into practical execution
    • Is excited about building systems and partnerships from scratch
    • Is willing to experiment, learn quickly and adapt
    • Wants to help build something innovative and impactful
    • Be a strong fit with Eablenex core values.

Experience in energy, mobility, logistics, fintech agent networks or distributed asset businesses is a strong advantage.

    Work Requirements

    • This role is remote, with occasional in-person meetings when required
    • Candidates should ideally be based in Abuja
    • The role may involve commute for partnership meetings, outreach and engagement activities

    Candidates must:

    • Be able to actively participate in virtual meetings using a laptop (not phone)
    • Be comfortable sharing screen, presenting slides and pitching in online meetings
