Advanced School Tutor (WAEC, TOEFL, IGCSE Specialist) at Domfas International Leadership Academy (Domfas ILA)

Job Summary

Domfas International Leadership Academy, based in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, is seeking an exceptional and experienced Advanced School Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate must be TRCN-certified, hold CTAO accreditation, and demonstrate extensive experience in preparing and marking exams such as WAEC, TOEFL, and IGCSE. This role requires deep subject expertise, a passion for academic excellence, and a results-driven approach to student success.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor senior secondary school students (SS1–SS3) in designated subjects.
• Prepare students thoroughly for external exams including WAEC, IGCSE, TOEFL, SAT, and UTME.
• Apply current assessment and grading techniques, including experience marking WAEC, TOEFL, or IGCSE papers.
• Conduct mock exams, analyze performance data, and implement intervention strategies.
• Deliver lessons that integrate digital tools and differentiated instruction.
• Guide academic research, projects, and oral presentations.
• Maintain accurate academic records, provide feedback, and report progress to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with subject teams and participate in school-wide academic initiatives.
• Promote discipline, ethical teaching, and a strong culture of academic excellence.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or a related discipline.
• TRCN Certification – Mandatory
• CTAO Accreditation – Mandatory
• Certified IGCSE Educator with classroom and assessment experience.
• Proven track record in marking and coaching for WAEC, TOEFL, and IGCSE exams.
• At least 5–10 years of teaching and exam preparation experience.
• Subject expertise in any of the following:
• ▪ English Language & Literature▪ Mathematics / Further Mathematics▪ Biology / Chemistry / Physics▪ Economics / Government / Civic Education▪ Geography / ICT
• Strong classroom management, digital literacy, and communication skills.
• Evidence of strong academic outcomes from former students is highly desirable.Preferred Attributes
