    Financial Accounting & Economics Teacher

    We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Financial Accounting & Economics Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, prepare students for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations, and equip them with sound knowledge of accounting principles and economic concepts.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver effective lessons in Financial Accounting and Economics in line with the Nigerian curriculum.
    • Prepare students for WAEC, NECO, JAMB, and other external examinations.
    • Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, instructional materials, and assessments.
    • Teach accounting principles, bookkeeping, financial statements, and basic business concepts.
    • Teach microeconomics, macroeconomics, and other relevant economic concepts using practical examples.
    • Assess students through assignments, tests, projects, and examinations, and maintain accurate academic records.
    • Provide academic support and remedial lessons for students who require additional assistance.
    • Maintain a disciplined, engaging, and learner-centred classroom environment.
    • Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development programmes.
    • Carry out other academic duties assigned by the school management.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of a B.Ed., B.Sc. (Ed.), or B.Sc. in Accounting, Economics, Business Education, or a related field with a teaching qualification.
    • At least 2 years of teaching experience in Financial Accounting and Economics at the secondary school level.
    • Strong knowledge of the Nigerian curriculum and examination requirements (WAEC, NECO, and JAMB).
    • Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to simplify complex concepts and inspire students to achieve academic excellence.
    • Basic computer literacy is an added advantage.
