Chemistry & Biology Teacher at Majesty Schools

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and result-oriented Chemistry & Biology Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, conduct practical laboratory sessions, and prepare students for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations while fostering scientific inquiry and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective lessons in Chemistry and Biology in line with the Nigerian curriculum.
• Prepare students for WAEC, NECO, JAMB, and other external examinations.
• Conduct practical laboratory sessions and ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures.
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments, and instructional materials.
• Assess students’ performance through assignments, tests, practicals, and examinations.
• Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial lessons where necessary.
• Maintain accurate academic records and monitor students’ progress.
• Foster a disciplined, engaging, and learner-centered classroom environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, school events, and continuous professional development programmes.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the school management.

Requirements

• Minimum of a B.Ed., B.Sc. (Ed.), or B.Sc. in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field with a teaching qualification.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in Chemistry and Biology at the secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian curriculum and examination requirements (WAEC, NECO, and JAMB).
• Experience conducting laboratory practicals and managing science laboratory equipment.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to achieving excellent student outcomes.
• Basic computer literacy is an added advantage.
