Business Studies & Commerce Teacher at Majesty Schools

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Business Studies & Commerce Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging lessons, develop students’ understanding of business principles, entrepreneurship, and commerce, and prepare them for internal and external examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies and Commerce lessons in line with the Nigerian curriculum.
• Prepare students for WAEC, NECO, BECE, and other relevant examinations.
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, instructional materials, and assessments.
• Teach topics including entrepreneurship, business management, marketing, trade, office practice, and commercial activities.
• Assess students through assignments, tests, projects, and examinations, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical application of business concepts.
• Provide academic support and remedial lessons where necessary.
• Maintain a positive, disciplined, and learner-centred classroom environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development programmes.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the school management.

Requirements

• Minimum of a B.Ed., B.Sc. (Ed.), or B.Sc. in Business Education, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field with a teaching qualification.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in Business Studies and/or Commerce at the secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian curriculum and examination requirements (WAEC, NECO, and BECE).
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire students and relate business concepts to real-life situations.
• Basic computer literacy is an added advantage.
