This is a sales-focused role, centered on the acquisition of retailers (Merchants) all across Nigeria for Kaymu.com.ng – Nigeria’s #1 online marketplace.
The specifics of the MERCHANT ACQUISITON role would be;

The Sr. Graphic Designer is responsible for developing design deliverables that elevate, differentiate, and function on-brand and on-strategy. Deliverables include website creative, landing pages and banners for multiple browsers and devices. This team member interacts with all other functions and is ready to the take lead.

2+ years sales experience preferable

Previous experience in retail/consumer industries preferred
Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently exceed objectives

• Use industry knowledge to build an understanding of competitive positioning, our value proposition for buyers and sellers, and dynamics within the vertical
• Drive performance of Kaymu sellers through shop consultation, strong customer service and negotiation of deals
• Management and optimization of seller performance on the platform
• Analysis of market trends and an ability to benchmark price points across multiple categories from both online and offline competitors
• Clear communication and understanding of the value proposition of selling online
• Strong focus on the importance of best-in-class Customer Service
• Management and development of a retailer management tool
• Regular reporting and focus on key KPIs to ensure quick results and personal development
• Act as liaison with different sales departments and provide seller and competitor consultation as required

Your main responsibilities will be to grow and develop Kaymu in your region through operational and strategic actions. You will directly manage your operational and commercial team.

Key responsibilities include:
• Recruit and manage the team, in particular the local sales and operations team
• Acquire and manage business relationships with current and prospective merchants/sellers• Manage existing and prospective merchants to assure their success selling on Kaymu
• Define and drive action plans to create strong relationships with local stakeholders
• Coordinate your commercial team with the other services (Marketing, Finance, etc.)
• Deliver measurable results linked to your regional strategy
• Ensure regular reporting of your actions and results
• Manage the team efficiency and cohesion
