    Business Development Leader


    Job Description

    This position reporting to Cluster Country Manager, West Africa will:

    • Be responsible for expansion and acceleration of Visa’s business in designated markets and client portfolios:
      • Promote and sell Visa products and services to designated clients and emerging markets.
      • Build clear strategies to stimulate growth and grow share of Visa business within client portfolios
    • Achieve P&L and portfolio targets:
      • Manage the account planning process and deliver accurate sales and revenue forecasts
      • Drive new business and revenue growth opportunities 
    • Be responsible for leading Visa’s engagement with a portfolio of key clients and markets:
      • Build a client and market strategy aligned to Visa West Africa market plan and the client’s strategic priorities
      • Develop, implement and manage Visa’s strategies with the clients to profitably grow the business in Consumer, Commercial and Digital
      • Deepen client engagement at the senior leadership level to drive new business opportunities and actively demonstrate Visa as the best partner for business growth
      • Broaden Visa’s relationship with client stakeholders in functions beyond the Cards business
      • Increase penetration of Visa products and solutions with the clients
    • Understand the payment landscape of the West Africa Region and keep abreast of industry trends
    • Support the Cluster Country Manager and Head of Sales to implement Country strategies and achieve business goals
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Products, Marketing, Government Relations, Risk, Operations, Finance, etc, to orchestrate the collective effort to optimize the effectiveness of Visa solutions to the clients

    Qualifications
    Professional:

    • Recognized degree preferably in Business Management, Economics, Finance; MBA preferred
    • Minimum 8 - 12 years of proven sales or business development experience, with strong account management, project management  and relationship management, business consultation experience from across the following vertical or functions: consumer banking, cards issuing, merchant acquiring,

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Increased penetration of Visa products and solutions with the clients
    • Increased Visa share with the client
    • Increased level of engagement with client’s senior management resulting in higher NPS scores and preference for Visa
    • Achieved P&L and portfolio growth targets
    • Forecast accuracy including management of incentives
    • Understanding of the industry trends
    • Engagement with internal stakeholders

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Recognized degree preferably in Business Management, Economics, Finance; MBA preferred
    • Payments / Digital / Corporate Sales experience preferred
    • Knowledge of payments systems and card industry
    • Digital mindset and adaptive leadership
    • Strong account management and problem solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
    • Strong presentation, account management and networking skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work with large, cross-functional (e.g. product, sales, strategy, marketing) and cross-regional teams

    • Knowledge of the card and payments business

    Senior Product Solutions Architect

    Job Description

    • We are looking for looking for Senior Product Solutions Managers within our Solutions Management team to join our progressive team.
    • As part of the Solutions Management team , you will design and implements the go-to-market strategy for solution sales and deployment at Visa. You and your team will be responsible for creating solution bundles relevant for your specific geography across product lines to position with Visa’s customers Your role will include aspects of consultative client engagement , product strategy, and analytics to craft solutions to meet customer needs.
    • You will also be working with a team that supports technical conversations and deployment with external partners, including advising on how they can work with Visa to build custom solutions that utilize their strengths to enhance Visa’s solution bundles.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify business growth opportunities from new and existing partnerships by leveraging Visa products and creating Visa solution bundles
    • Stay abreast of trends in the payments, technology, business, identifying implications for Visa’s Product & Solutions strategy and our clients businesses
    • Adopt human-centred design thinking around how Visa can improve its customer experience across Visa’s product and solutions sets
    • Work alongside a cross-functional team of Sales and Business Development to build and drive strategic business goals for Visa
    • Address product-related questions and technical challenges and improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams
    • Analyze and optimize the business growth of existing partners
    • Work closely with our partners across the solution development cycle starting from strategy and solution definition through launch and go to market, by co-managing and driving the completion of key execution deliverables

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree with an aptitude and passion for technology
    • 6-8 years years of related work experience
    • Eagerness and self starting approach and an entrepreneurial mindset
    • Problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience working in cross-functional collaborative environments
    • Knowledge or experience with Agile methodology to drive product development and delivery
    • Proven ability to take initiative and to build strong and productive relationships

    Business Development Analyst

    Purpose

    • This position reporting to the Head of Sales will be responsible for operational management of all aspects of the sales organization.
    • This role will provide overall support towards the growth of Visa products and services across the region by ensuring that client requests,business analysis, cyclic reporting, and day to day operations of the business are executed in a seamless and timely manner.

    Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Area
    To support with the following:

    • Support the operational onboarding and project initiation process for clients and non-traditional partners
    • Analyze, review, and track all documentation requests to ensure appropriateness and timely fulfillment; ensure clear communications;
    • Develop new, innovative and efficient operational processes to accelerate growth of the business
    • Support to monitor the Key Performance Indicators of client by product, making analysis of feedback and planning new alternatives / possibilities of business;
    • Support implementation plans for new projects along with Products, Marketing, Finance, Operations and other Teams, making analysis of viability, in order to offer the best way to leverage the business of VISA and Clients
    • Gathering and analyzing of available Visa solutions for the targeted teams and products of each client.
    • Own and manage Sales Reporting Platform
    • Presentations’ development and client meetings’ organization;
    • Planning implementation of management tools with various initiatives by clients
    • Be the main point of contact for business related client enquiries across the region
    • Report status and metrics weekly to management.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree / MBA preferred
    • 4-6 years of experience preferable including sales and/or customer relationship in the payments industry;
    • English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
    • Emphasis in customer-facing roles;
    • Very analytical and problem solving skills;
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a ¨peer¨ with the sales
    • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional VISA and client areas.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
