    JV Accountant

    Job Description
    If you would be interested in a highly engaging and rewarding opportunity as the JV Accountant for a leading E & P company then this is right for you:

    As the JV Accountant, you would:

    • Manage and maintain the business controls framework for line based on Corporate Controls Framework, and ensure controls are in place to address associated risks and uncertainties.
    • Provide budgeting, commitment and budget change control on the Company’s production assets.
    • Facilitate investment proposal process management for Company Assets.
    • Provide cost structure reporting, analysis and management information.
    • Provide day to day business advice (financial, controls) to ensure the integrity of spending in this area and that the investments are focused in line with the plan.
    • Ensure Asset business controls incident reports are prepared and submitted as required.
    • Monitor and ensure that the costs and accruals are allocated and classified to the correct accounts to enable reliable reporting of spend.
    • Act as audit focal point with audit function for the asset, and work with Partners, shareholders and sanctioned 3rd parties on assurance reviews.
    • Ensure early and accurate OPEX cost plan and drive the line in similar manner for CAPEX.
    • Ensure an effective risk based business controls framework is operational and adhered.
    • Coordinate effective stakeholder interface to ensure full compliance with legislation, directives, rules and guidelines.
    • This exciting position will have the candidate working both independently and directly with a wonderful team lead but also requires interaction with Finance Team, Project & Asset Management Teams, Management, Partners & Joint Ventures Representatives, Tax Consultants, Auditors, Banks

    The Successful Applicant
    For the successful JV Accountant, you will have:

    • A Chartered Accountant with 8+ years in the oil and gas industry.
    • Minimum 4-years’ experience providing support on a producing asset in an oil company.
    • Minimum 3-years’ experience providing support on the development of a field from feed to construction.

    End-User Sales

     Purpose of role
    Accountable for owner decisions in favor of the Organization in new business and service revenue and margin in his assigned territory / segment / customer group.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute sales strategies, sales plans and sales support activities plans in his assigned territory / segment / customer group.
    • Deliver on sales targets, margin and incentive targets, customer visit plan, customer communication and events plan).
    • Support market intelligence and business development projects as required to drive the growth of the business
    • Monitor & verify major customer complaints & claims, coordinate with other functions to develop solution. Support definition / implementation of corrective actions
    • Review, monitor & evaluate performance of assigned customer accounts

    Qualifications & Skills

    • The ideal candidate should be an Engineer with 5 – 8 years relevant experience in the sales and service of Diesel engines (Turbocharger)
    • Must possess sales and commercial acumen for the energy market within Nigeria (Power, Oil & Gas and Marine)
    • Expert in market mapping and end-user sales support activities.
