    Program Volunteer

    Overall purpose of the role

    • The Program Volunteer will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of ARISE’s programs and initiatives.
    • This role involves assisting in program coordination, community engagement, documentation, and reporting to ensure the effective delivery of projects.
    • The volunteer will work closely with program teams to facilitate field activities, support beneficiary outreach, and contribute to the overall success of ARISE’s interventions. Additionally, the role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in program management, advocacy, and community development while contributing to ARISE’s mission.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Program Support:

    • Collaborate with the program team to assist in defining program objectives and strategies.
    • Provide support in developing program plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Assist in identifying and mitigating potential risks and challenges.
    • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and implement innovative program ideas.

    Project Assistance:

    • Support project managers and coordinators in the execution of program activities.
    • Assist in monitoring and tracking program progress, ensuring milestones are met within scope and quality standards.
    • Contribute to resource allocation, including budget tracking and management.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Assist in cultivating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders.
    • Collaborate with external partners to facilitate resource sharing and enhance program impact.

    Monitoring and Evaluation:

    • Assist in the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities to assess program outcomes.
    • Contribute to data analysis and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making.
    • Collaborate in the preparation of reports and presentations for stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess an HND / BA / B.Sc. Degree with at least 2 years experience.

    MEAL Officer (Volunteer)

    Overall purpose of the role

    • The MEAL Officer (volunteer) is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of ARISE’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning systems across all projects and programs.
    • The role aims to ensure data-driven decision-making, promote accountability to beneficiaries and donors, and facilitate learning and improvement within the organization.
    • The Officer also provides MEAL capacity building for program staff.
    • The MEAL Officer is expected to work in close collaboration with MEAL Team members and with program and staff.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive MEAL framework for all ongoing and future projects.
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure program effectiveness.
    • Ensure data quality and accuracy through regular reviews and validation.
    • Prepare reports, dashboards, and visual representations of findings.
    • Collaborate with teams to make data-driven recommendations for program improvement.
    • Develop and manage databases for data storage and retrieval.
    • Provide training and support to staff on MEAL methodologies and tools.
    • Conduct regular field visits to ensure data collection integrity and provide on-the-ground support to project teams.
    • Manage and maintain an up-to-date database of beneficiaries, project activities, and indicators.
    • Collaborate with project managers to develop effective log frames, indicators, and data collection tools.
    • Lead the process of data collection, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other research methodologies.
    • Ensure compliance with ethical data collection and privacy standards, including obtaining informed consent when necessary.
    • Apply advanced statistical analysis to identify trends, correlations, and outliers in the data.
    • Summarize and visualize complex data into comprehensible reports and presentations for stakeholders.
    • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, impact assessments, and evaluation reports.
    • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in monitoring and evaluation and adapt methods accordingly.
    • Offer continuous capacity-building and training to project staff and partners to enhance MEAL competencies.

    Qualification and Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science or survey and Geoinformatics is preferred
    • Experience: Minimum of two 2 years in monitoring and evaluation field
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or statistical software)
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to carry out data analysis with Tableau, SPSS, ArcGIS is an added advantage
    • A passion for making a positive impact and contributing to the growth of our organization
