    Business Development Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and increasing revenue for the Ikeja Branch of Alliance Française de Lagos. This role requires a proactive and results-oriented individual with a strong understanding of sales, marketing, and relationship management, ideally within the cultural or educational sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic Business Development: Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities to expand the reach and impact of our branch located in Ikeja GRA. This includes developing new programs, services, and partnerships that align with our mission.
    • Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, government agencies, educational institutions, international organizations, and cultural bodies. Negotiate and secure mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Revenue Generation: Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue through various channels, such as corporate training programs, sponsorship acquisition, and grant applications.
    • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and new growth opportunities. Use data-driven insights to inform business development strategies.
    • Proposal Development: Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective partners and clients.
    • Marketing & Communication Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and communications team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that support business development initiatives.
    • Reporting: Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to the Director and the marketing executive.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • HND or BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably within the cultural, educational, or non-profit sector.
    • Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying, negotiating, and closing deals.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English.
    • Proficiency in French is an added advantage, given the nature of the organization.
    • Strong understanding of the Nigerian business landscape and cultural sector.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
    • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Must live in close proximity to Ikeja GRA.

    Junior Graphics Designer

    Position Summary

    • We are looking for a creative and motivated Junior Graphic Designer to join our communication team.
    • The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a good understanding of visual communication principles, and an interest in promoting the French language courses and certifications.
    • They will work closely with the Communication officer and the Educational and Exam departments to create attractive and effective visual materials aimed at promoting our course offerings, together with the French language certifications, and educational events.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Design and create a variety of visual materials for the promotion of French courses and certifications (DELF, DALF, TEF, TCF):
    • Digital Materials: Visuals for social media (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn), web banners, newsletters, infographics, simple animations.
    • Print Materials: Posters, flyers, brochures, roll-up banners, internal signage.
    • Ensure the consistency of the Alliance Française de Lagos's visual identity across all communication channels.
    • Adapt visual materials to different distribution channels and target audiences.
    • Participate in creative brainstorming for new communication campaigns.
    • Collaborate with pedagogical and events teams to understand their visual communication needs.
    • Stay updated on graphic design trends and relevant tools.
    • Assist with basic photography and video editing if necessary.
    • Manage and organize graphic files and visual archives.

    Required Qualifications

    • Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in standard graphic design software (Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
    • Knowledge of animation software (After Effects) or video editing (Premiere Pro) is a plus.
    • A portfolio showcasing personal or professional work is mandatory.
    • Good understanding of design principles and design thinking framework
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
    • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in French is not mandatory but would be a significant asset. Proficiency in English is essential.
