Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with Marconi’s EPCI business model.
- Build and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
Project Support
- Provide technical input during procurement (review vendor documents, specifications, and compliance).
- Support construction teams with engineering clarifications, field changes, and technical problem-solving.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are aligned with project schedules and budgets.
Technical Oversight
- Approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with international codes (ASME, API, DNV, ISO, NORSOK).
- Oversee quality assurance and technical risk management.
Stakeholder Management
- Interface with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities on technical matters.
- Collaborate with procurement and construction managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Represent engineering in project review meetings and audits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering (master’s preferred).
- 12–15+ years’ experience in oil & gas, marine, or heavy industrial projects.
- Proven track record in EPCI projects, with strong exposure to procurement and construction phases.
- Familiarity with fabrication yards, offshore construction, and heavy equipment installation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Job Objective/ Purpose of the Job:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering assigned EPC/fabrication/construction projects within scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements. The role ensures effective resource planning, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and compliance with Marconi’s safety, quality, and operational standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of accountability for project execution and client satisfaction.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop detailed project execution plans (PEP), schedules, and resource plans.
- Ensure project scope, deliverables, milestones, and timelines are clearly defined and communicated.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and align all stakeholders on project expectations.
Project Execution & Delivery
- Coordinate daily project activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and logistics.
- Monitor work progress against baseline plans and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure timely completion of fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Cost, Budget & Resource Management
- Prepare project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Track expenditures, manage cost variations, and drive cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide weekly progress reports, dashboards, and project performance updates.
- Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and maintain strong client relationships.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify project risks early and develop mitigation plans.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE guidelines and permit-to-work systems.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all project deliverables comply with technical specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Oversee inspections, FAT, SAT, quality checks, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and contractual obligations. Team Leadership & Supervision
- Coordinate the work of project engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Lead weekly site coordination meetings and ensure seamless communication among departments.
- Coach and mentor team members to improve capability and performance. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain complete project documentation, including drawings, change orders, RFIs, quality records, and close-out reports.
- Prepare and submit project closeout reports and lessons-learned documentation.

Experience/Skill and Competencies
- PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant project management certification (an advantage).
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience managing EPC/fabrication/construction projects.
- Experience in oil and gas fabrication yards or heavy industrial environments preferred.
- Proven track record delivering medium to large-scale projects successfully
