MIG Welder at Buckler Ordnance Systems Limited

Position Overview

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MIG Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure and mark workpieces using straightedges, rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications to plan and execute welding projects.
• Select, measure, cut, fit, and join appropriate metals according to required specifications.
• Prepare metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective welding and assembly.
• Perform MIG welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Adjust gas gauges and welding equipment to ensure proper shield gas flow and welding performance.
• Inspect welds, angles, grooves, and gap allowances using measuring instruments and quality-control procedures.
• Maintain compliance with workplace safety regulations and welding standards.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to transport materials safely to and from work areas.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Background: Minimum of SSCE, Trade Certification in MIG Welding, Vocational Training, or a relevant field.
• Certification: Relevant technical certification in auto upholstery or interior finishing will be an added advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years’ hands-on experience in MIG Welding
• Operational & Technical Skills: Ability to use welding tools effectively and interpret design specifications
• Personal Attributes / Professionalism: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
